Lock in oil price

I got a letter from Lewis Oil offering a fixed rate of $2.099 or a ceiling rate of $2.299. The rate would expire April 30, 2010. I can't decide what to do. I usually do COD. COD prices right now are around $1.759. I still have half a tank of oil so I don't need a delivery.

Help me decide! What are you ladies and guys doing?

TIA!

We do COD only. It is going to start to get nice and we won't be using as much oil.

Re: Lock in oil price

After reading an article in today's paper that oil prices will be on the rise due to the summer season (increase need) and that OPEC will be lowering its quantity, thus prices will increase (not sure by how much), I would sign the contract.

Consider yourself lucky - we're locked in at $2.49.Chat Icon

That's a good rate right now.

npbride are you already a customer of Lewis oil? Our contract is up and we are looking into who is going to give us the best rate.

I'm not a customer. I just received a letter in the mail.

Thanks for the input everyone.
