We were referred to livf last year around this time. I met with Dr David Kreiner ( 1st impression is always ur last) he said hello what's your name? He then introduce me to some student doctor whom he was her protege. He told us in literally 1 min what he felt needed to be said. The rest of the time busy speaking to the intern. I was furious. I gave him that look of what the? He apologized and said we are short staff/nurses today. He handed me a book he wrote. He got up and told me to follow him we walked into exam room. He examined me and he told me the nurse will be right with me to take me to the financial counselor. The nurse had no personality. The nurse said "the doctor is requesting blood work and handed me a list of what the doctor is looking for.The only one who greeted me with a smile was the finance lady.
I had to call n find out if they receive the blood work. Which they had for two weeks. Till this day I've never heard from them.

That doesn't sound like them. I see Dr. Brenner....he's great, he spends a lot of time with you answering all your questions. I have never had any problems with the nurses either they are always very pleasant. They always call with blood results as soon as they get them. I go to the lake success office but have also been to Melville for blood work, sonos and iuis. They have always been pleasant there as well.

Re: Long Island IVF

doesn't sound like LI IVF. I used them back in Oct (Dr. Brenner) and currently 19 weeks pregnant. I can't say one bad thing about the staff there. I went to Lake success office and they were all amazing! My nurse actually emailed me a few weeks ago to see how I was doing and if we found out sex yet. What office did you go too?

Agreed. The nurses ask the above poster about me and my dd all the time, which is now over a year after my last cycle. I LOVE THEM!

Yup, I agree. It's shady. Not to say you cant have a bad experience but that sounds nothing like my experience there. I had nothing but good experiences with the doctors and nurses. I called 2 years after I had my son with a question about something and the nurses remembered me. I wasn't even their patient anymore and they still went out of their way to help me. Love them!

Sounds like you caught them on a really off day. I used Dr. Kreiner and was happy with the attention I got from him. At my last practice, you waited for an hour for a sono tech to do your ultrasound and then you had to wait 40 minutes to see a doctor. And it was a different doctor every time so they never knew your story or your history. At LI IVF, Dr. Kreiner did all my sonos himself. It made me feel much better taken care of. Especially since the whole process took maybe 25 minutes from the time I signed in until the time I was back in my car.

I had a wonderful experience with Dr. Kreiner and now have my 4 month old daughter because of li if and Dr. Kreiner. Nothing but a great experience with everyone I encountered there. Before going to li if I worked with Dr. Stelling at RSofNY, and had no success after six IUI's and 4 IVF's.

I actually really like the staff there( the one in Melville) but i'm not in love with Dr. Brenner. My sister had gone to Dr. K a few years ago and hated him.

Anyone have experience with Dr. Pena? I have been told that I would have to see him, since he is near my work, and even their earliest appointment is after I have to be at work. I know several people who have seen him, and say that I would not like him. This is how I ended up at RS of NY (which most here seem to hate). Just wondering if anyone is a patient of Dr. Pena's and actually likes him.

Re: Long Island IVF

Stay away from Dr Pena. Dr K was my dr when I was with LIVF and I used to like him but after my first Ivf I didn't like anyone other than my nurse .
Dr Pena had never seen him prior and he happened to do my transfer and it seemed as if he was very unorganized . Transfer did not go smooth at all and after that and my outcome and dr k reaction it was time to move elsewhere and I was super happy My new dr and practice . I was successful but even if i was not I would have def stayed with them .

Re: Long Island IVF

Sure Dr Palter at Goldcoast IVF , he is in Woodbury. Much further commute for me but well worth it . His team is incredible as is he and he will be the only one to ever do
Retrieval and transfers. He is also very out of the box .
