Long Island IVF Update!
Has anyone gone to them? Which doctors do you recommend? I want to go for a free consultation. My husband and I are having fertility issues and was recommend to go to them. We are going to try IUI first. Anyone have any experience or success stories from them?!
TIA!
Update!
I called and made an appointment to meet Dr. Keninsburg next week. I'm excited about this and I'm hoping this works. How long after I meet with him can the first IUI be tried??

they have free consultations? I only know Dr Brenner, he is very straight forward. Many ladies on the site use and like them.
Good luck

Re: Long Island IVF
I believe it's only a free phone consultation (like 10 minutes or something). When I went, insurance did not cover, so it was out of pocket. I paid $250 fee for the 60 minute office consultation, which included blood & sono. Met with Dr. Kreiner who was great.

Re: Long Island IVF
I used Dr. Pena. He was a brilliant man but he had no bedside manner. Thanks to him I have my 2 y/o DD. I went straight to IVF because he felt IUIs would be a waste of time due to my diagnosis.

Re: Long Island IVF
We went there & I'm currently 20 weeks pregnant after IVF. We tried multiple other practices first and I'm glad we ended up there. Dr. Brenner actually called me several times himself during the process to discuss different things. Don't get me wrong, I love the nurses but sometimes it's nice to be reassured that the MD really is following everything. Good luck to you!

Re: Long Island IVF
Love them! We have one DS from our first IVF cycle with them. We tried IUIs first but they didn't work for us. We've been very happy with them. As far as the doctors, they're all great but which one would be a good fit depends on what you're looking for. Dr. Keninsburg is brilliant but direct and to the point. I found Dr. Kreiner and Dr. Pena to have better bedside manners. I also love Dr. Droesch. She's down to earth and compassionate. If you want more specific info let me know. I've been with them for awhile as we're now working on #2.

Re: Long Island IVF
I just want to vent, this office is pissing me off today and last week. They are losing my paperwork. My OBgyn faxed them papers last week and th OB's office manager spoke to the RN in LI IVF. LI IVF confirmed they received the fax. Today that same LI IVF RN tells me I am missing all this paper work to MOVE forward.
I called the Ob office last week and this AM to see what happened and why my paper work was not sent.
They tell me what I stated above. When I started with LI last year around this time, they were making me jump through hoops for a lot of things, tests, etc. They wanted me to send in a copy of my yearly physical, it was sent several times in the last few months, again today the same RN tells me its missing. I said it cant be I know they sent it. As she is talking to me she says, Oh its here, they sent over many pages. WTF.
Please note, last week she left a VM telling that was missing all the above and more!!!!
I don't think this is the norm for this center but I think it is for this RN

That's frustrating. I've been through many cycles with them and never had that problem. I think you're right, it probably has to do with the RN. Is this the one that's assigned to you for your IVF cycle? Maybe you could request a new one? What office do you go to?

I just started with them and I see Dr. Droesch. I only met with her once so far, but from our meeting I feel she is very caring and understanding.
