Looking for a recommendation for a Sensory Processing Disorder evaluation
I believe that my DD is exhibited symptoms of SPD - specifically sensory seeking symptoms.
I would like to get her evaluated but I don't know where to go- what kind of physician or therapist would I go to and does anyone have someone they would recommend?
What are the pros/cons of going through the district for the evaluation vs. private?
Thank you!

Looking for a recommendation for a Sensory Processing Disorder evaluation
I'm in the middle of doing one now. My son is three so I went through district. If they are younger, I think you call the state. I had to register him in our district, I met with special ed really fast then someone from the agency/ school arranged a meeting. My son lost his mind at the school so we had the psychologist come to us. Next up is his OT evaluation, also at home.

It would be the county that you'd contact if dc is under 3. Regardless of whether she's evaluated by ei (county) or cpse (school district), there will be a psychological (cognitive) eval, and then the OT eval for the sensory concerns.
