Looking for clues of chemical..
Here is my post from the TTC board. Does anyone know if there any signs that i may be having a chemical pregnancy?:::
So what i believe to have been implantation bleeding is now over. Yesterday afternoon i definitely had a second faint line on FRER. Last night i tried one of my generic wondfos and it came back negative. This morning i took another FRER and it came back negative. (I did get up to pee at about 1am..and then tested around 5am..so not sure if that makes a difference.)
Anyway, now i'm thinking this is a chemical. Anyone have any knowledge on this?
Just confused because i thought false positives were very rare on a FRER. That's why i splurged on them.
This whole process is taking years off my life. Plus i have one of the worst colds ever, which is not helping my mood.

Re: Looking for clues of chemical..
Around Easter I had a strange experience.
I had some spotting around the time AF was due and I missed my period. The only time I've had spotting was when I was pregnant so I thought I was. I also had really bad cramping prior to AF being due which is another thing I've only experienced with pregnancy.
I was testing and everything was coming up BFN. Then I decided to take a digital and that came up BFP. Because of my previous loss I called my doctor the next morning figuring I was pregnant and had an HCG/Beta but that came back negative! The doctor had no idea what was going on. Two days after that my period started.
I still have no idea what happened. False positivse are very rare so it could have been a chemical but I did see some complaints about CBE Digitals giving false results as well so it could have just been a late period and bad test. I'll never know for sure.
If you are that concerned call your doctor and schedule a Beta, that will give you more answers.
I know how ttc again after a loss is very stressful

Re: Looking for clues of chemical..
thanks for your response.
I think since i have one more frer test, i will wait and test again later today.
I did read some comforting things on peeonastick.com. It said that you really should wait 2 days after implantation bleeding to test. It also said that sometimes in a box of 3 FRER some are actually more sensitive than others..that does seem crazy to me, but i'm trying to be a little positive for now. I do have a lot of preggo symptons as well. UGH. After everything i went through why can't this just be a little easier.

I know how you feel. I remember feeling that way when I had no idea what was going on with me. It was only my second month of trying since the loss and I remember feeling so defeated and down. I think for me it may have been a chemical only because of the severe cramping/spotting and the late period but I try to just think of it as a bad test because it's easier that way. Two cycles later I got pregnant so don't give up hope if this isn't it for you.
I hope you get good news

Re: Looking for clues of chemical..
thanks stacey.
Now i think AF is on her way. I think i must have gotten a faulty test yesterday. This stinks, now i'm depressed all over again..it's even worse after getting a bfp. I am about to cry..

Re: Looking for clues of chemical..
When I had my chemical the bfp went away pretty quick. I tested on sat and had a faint bfp, tested sunday and had another faint line, on Monday it was even fainter, Tuesday bfn and wed af came. Pregnancy was confirmed through beta. I am so sorry. This whole process is a roller coaster.

Re: Looking for clues of chemical..
I'm sorry you're going through this. Just so you know, I got a false positive with an FRER last week, and it wasn't a chemical. It was a fluke I guess. But when I researched it online, it seemed more common than I thought it was.
Hoping you get some good news still!

AF came. I don't think i want to investigate whether it was a chemical or not. I literally had a positive for just one test one time. I took another test about 4 hours later and it was negative. And the one i took about 4 hours before the positive was also negative. In a way i hope it wasn't a positive because that makes me think i can't keep a pregnancy anymore. Either way yesterday was the 2nd worst day of my life. It was like was re-living all the emotions of finding out about the first misscarriage..Every time i think about my son being the only kid on our block without a sibling i start crying. I hate to say this, but until i get successfully pregnant again I don't think i can be truly happy anymore. Right now, i'm pretty miserable. I pray i can snap out of this.

Re: Looking for clues of chemical..
I am so sorry you are going through this. I can relate somewhat to how you are feeling. I desperately want to give my DS a sibling too, and I hoped they would be close in age. We have been trying for a while and I just had a chemical last month. It is so devastating. I hope you start to feel better soon, and that we are all pg soon.
