Looking for some fun workouts to do at home....
DH will be working late and going to school, so there goes someone to stay home whil I go to kickboxing...
Please share your weight workouts, and any GOOD DVD's - I am used to very hard cardio workouts (I just love it) - I mean, jump kicks followed by lunges touching the floor, etc - so, good tough DVDs that will make me ache after...
But, since I am limited budget wise, I wont be able to get DVDs for a while, so share with me what good weight routines you do... I have dumbells... TIA!

Also check out Shape magazine online-they have workouts there.
Do you have on demand? They have a workout channel and there is also one on TV called FitTV

Liza
I have a DVD you can download. It's the closest video to Chris' class that I've come across. It's Cathe Freidrich Kick, Punch, Crunch (I believe). She does alot of the same movements done in class
If you want, I'll lend it to you and you can copy it.

Re: Looking for some fun workouts to do at home....
For kickboxing-type workouts, I like Turbo Jam - I have Kick, Punch and Jam as well as the whole set that comes with Learn & Burn, 20 minute workout and Cardio Party (I only use Cardio Party). She's definitely not traditional hardcore kickboxing, but she gets the heart rate up there. I enjoy it alot! I also want to get her Fat Blaster DVD (it's a short video but high intensity). To make her videos higher intensity, I got weighted gloves (or wrist weights) and I usually do Kick Punch & Jam (I skip the Capoeira cool down) and then go straight to Cardio Party. That's like an hour & 20 minutes altogether.
My all time favorite cardio/kickbox DVD though is Cathe Freidrich's Kick Punch & Crunch (as was recommended above). Freaking killer. I haven't used it in ages though- I don't have the room for that workout in my apartment! That DVD also has a great legs & glutes workout.
If you're gonna buy Turbo Jam- don't buy it from beachbody.com. You can get it cheaper and no strings attached from someone off ebay.
As far as toning, I like resistance tubes. I'm still learning more exercises for that for when I'm stuck at home and can't get to the gym.
HTH and FM me if you have any questions!

I've bought exercise videos from Collage Video . They have customer reviews for every video and I was able to find what I was looking for using their search feature and reading reviews.

I hate them!!! Nothing in there grabs me, and they are short, and not that challenging...
