Re: Looking for special needs activities/camps
Full day camp is $$$$, is that what you are looking for? Or just activities? What town are you in?
My son is older, and we live in the Town of Brookhaven. He is 16, and there is absolutely nothing for him to do in the Summer. It's sad really. Once they turn 11, the town no longer offers anything until they are 18. I of course play "cruise director" and we do A LOT in the Summer, but as they get older, it's harder to find activities. I ask in various special needs groups each year to see if a Summer rec. program has come to fruition, but nothing ever does. There are special one day surfing camps, and various one day activities through NSASA, but beyond that, I have found nothing to meet our needs.
