Looking for wall decor for DDs room
I'm doing Erin's room in pink, beige and brown. The top of the walls will be pink with white picture frame moldings, painted brown inside the boxes. I'm looking for stuff to hang inside the boxes. So far I have a big giant safety pin and some tiaras. I'm also going to get either her initial or monogram in one of those wall decals. Anybody have any other suggestions?
Here are pics of what I have -- I'm going to spray paint the tiaras white.

Re: Looking for wall decor for DDs room
Hmmmm I'm having trouble visualizing the picture frame moldings, not sure I know what that is??? Do you have a pic or a link? What dimensions do the pieces need to be to fit??? I've seen some cute things along the way but don't know if the sizes would work for you...

This is what I mean by picture frame molding
But mine are going to be on the top of the wall so they will look like this, but I'm not going to have quite this many. I'm not going for an art gallergy look

Re: Looking for wall decor for DDs room
WHat a great idea1!! It will look awesome! Two things that come to mind are a cute white clock, maybe something vintage-y if that works???
Also I'm thinking a nice mirror would be awesome inside one of the "frames" - could also be vintage or decorative if that look fits the style of the room???
Lastly what bedding set have you picked (if you've selected one???) they might have matching wall hanging accessories?
Hmm last minute thought, you could cut some corkboard to fit inside the "frame", cover it with a beautiful fabric (I imagine one yard would work??) just use a staple gun on the back. And you can use pretty decorative pins to spotlight a few cute things (and change them as you wish)!

I really like this idea. I think it will tie the room together and it won't be too much stuff... the tiara's and the pin are absolutely adorable. How many frames are you planning on having?

Re: Looking for wall decor for DDs room
Thanks for the ideas ladies. I think I'll try the corkboard thing, or maybe one of those boards with the ribbons that criss-cross, then I could use that one over the changing table and put hair clips on it.
I'm not positive about the number of boxes I'm going to have but there are 2 full walls which will probably have 2 boxes on them and then 1 short wall will have just 1 box, probably with her initial in that one, and the other wall has a big window in the middle of it so I was going to put a rectangular "frame" on each side of it, probably with the pin and the tiaras on flanking each side of the window. Maybe I should do 3 boxes on the full walls?
Here is the bedding. It is from Hoohobbers, and I haven't seen any coordinating wall hangings, unless I get a throw pillow which is a 14" square and mount it on the wall.

Re: Looking for wall decor for DDs room
OMGosh your bedding is lovely
OK I had one more thought, how would you feel about a tutu in one of the frames?????????????? I'm thinking something RIDICULOUSLY girlie and fluffy like this one:
I'd probably add a cheapie sparkly brooch at the bow for more visual interest... If it looks "weird" on its own you could add little ballerina slippers???
What about a sparkly butterfly, or dragonfly, or a few of them depending on the frame size? Something like this? These come in 5" and 13" sizes
Or this (10" diameter)
Those items are from this site:http://www.thebutterflygrove.com/butterfly-decorations.html
