Re: looking to do a family photo
Why don't you go to Sears? I'm sure if you want to do one pose and use their coupons on the internet, you could get a great deal.
Or you could ask Barb...

I was going to say Barb, we got great family shots from our photo shoot.
My cousins, sister and I actually did a great family photo at Picture People.

Re: looking to do a family photo
we got a really nice one taken at Picture People. I'll see if I can post them. They did a really gorgeous sepia finish on it for us and framed it which I can't show you but it's really beautiful. I have it hanging in my dining room and I love it. Image Attachment(s):

Re: looking to do a family photo
Two years ago when my daughter made her communion, I used a photographer in Smithtown and did photos of my daughter and family photos. Although he got some good shots, he was ridiculously expensive. Everything was an add on (including changing my DH's head on one). When all was said and done, with framing, I spent $1200.
Fast forward this summer, I went to Sears, with a very definite idea of what I wanted (B&W, white shirts, tan khaki's, plain background) and got unbelievable pictures, at a fraction of the cost./ My only complaint with Sears is I did all the work. I posed the kids, set up the shots I wanted and had to argue with teh photographer about not wanting any props at all. Once the studio saw how good the pictures came out they wanted to hang them. So it can definitely be done. My advice is to look at what the high end studio's are doing and duplicate it. The malls usually have examples of Boticelli (sp) studios.
