Looking to rehome 2 cats

My aunt passed away this week leaving behing a 16 year old male neutered house cat and a 6-8 year old spayed female. I need to re home. Both are dog friendly. Please let me know. I am trying to avoid placing them in shelters but I can't take them myself.

It is highly unlikely that you will be be able to rehome the poor 16 year old cat. Isnt there anyone in your family that can give that senior a home for the last few years of his life? I cant imagine what will happen to that cat in a shelter environmentChat Icon

I'm so sorry to hear about your auntChat Icon

ITA. The older cat will be impossible to place. What a tragic situation when a pet loses their beloved owner that loved them and cared for them.

So sorry about your aunt and that you have to rehome her cats.Chat Icon

Unfortunately there isnt any family to ask. She is the only aunt I had and had no children.

Maybe you could contact Bobbi & the Strays? They are a rescue group for cats.

I would start posting like crazy on facebook. Include pictures. Describe their personalities. Visit the vet. Ask anyone and everyone you meet. Many times it is a friend of a friend. If you have pictures, post here and I will share to my facebook too.
