Losing Motivation...
How does everyone deal with IF and everyday life. I'm trying to deal with it and the process of going through IVF and doing my everyday things and found that I'm really lagging behind at work, all I can think about is when this and that will happen and everything related to IVF and the next steps and I can't concentrate on my work.
How do you all manage to keep yourself on track with work, family, etc., when this really consumes your life?

Re: Losing Concentration...
I swear I was just thinking the same thing.
I feel like I am just consumed with the whole IF issue. I am mentally exhausted! And I haven't even started any treatments or procedures!
Feel Better!! You're not alone!

Re: Losing Concentration...
I am going through the same thing ....especially now that I am finally getting ready for the IVF cycle in May. I own my own business so I can come and go as I please. But, I am definitely slacking off. I went for a mammogram today, tomorrow I will go to Manhattan for a Dr. appt.... I forward my phone but even when I am here physically -- I have no motivation to sell....I psend all of my time on here or other websites, doing research, making appointments, etc etc etc...the list goes on and on!
I guess we will start to feel it in the next few months when my income dribbles...
In my private life, I just try to keep busy. But I haven't started the injections yet so who knows...
and for you!

Re: Losing Concentration...
Thanks karacg that's exactly how I feel, completely unmotivated to focus on anything but my upcoming IVF and our problems so far....
I unfortunately don't have my own business and in order to keep my job I have to be 110% at all times and I just can't.
Good Luck to you as well and its good to know, unfortunately, I'm not alone.
Looks like we'll both be cycling this upcoming May as well

Re: Losing Concentration...
Unmotivated is definitely the word - any distraction and I am gone....hopefully it won;t be for long - right?

Re: Losing Motivation...
I think I had the opposite experience. BUt I may only be remembering during the IVF cycle. BUt I was going at 150%, doing anything and everything to stay preoccupied. Now mental exhaustion..... oh yeah. Lately I cant even speak right and have to try so hard to concentrate. It catches up with you one way or the other.

Re: Losing Motivation...
it's a DAILY struggle. So I feel for you all, I truly 100% do. I wish I had a magical answer or words to say how to make it easier.
for me...talking to all of you is what gets me through it, including DH more and just trying to keep busy.
Also, I HATED the thought of a break, I would cry hysterically when I had a cyst etc. Just recently we had to take a 10 week break. It was the BEST thing we did. I feel so renewed and much much more calm about it all.
everyone told me that, but I didnt believe anyone. I thought. I cant waste ANY time, I will never take a break...well everyone was right.
Hang in there!
We KNOW how you feel and Im praying it gets easier!
