Re: LOST - question- "are you going to tell?"
Last season I thought maybe the "him" was Kate's son.
Meaning she gets pregnant and survives so maybe that's how she gets to leave.
And I'm thinking the Oceanic People had something to so with her not being in jail. Maybe they shredded her records or something.
Or maybe the him was her parole officer.

Oh I have a question....why isn't Kate in jail?!?!
I thought the same thing too. As soon as she went through homeland security she would have been arrested.

Re: LOST - question- "are you going to tell?"
A few things to consider:
*The man in the chair is Jack's father - is he Jacob or has Jacob taken the identity of Jack's father? *The face that pops up in the cabin was Locke's because he was nearby? *Hurley wished the cabin away & Charlie away... could it mean that there's something we don't know about Hurley? (With the phenomenon of winning lottery, his crazy friend appearing on the island, seeing Jacob... and did anyone notice that when he began his wishing "countdown" with Charlie, by the time he got to "3", Charlie was leaning in and raising his voice. Almost as if he knew that when Hurley got to "5", he'd disappear. Maybe Hurley has some control over the Island's "mojo"?) *If Charlie is dead in the flash forward episodes, how did the other mental patient point him out to Hurley? *Why are we seeing dead people -Charlie, Jack's father? And why not the others - Boone, Echo, Ana Lucia, Libby, or whoever else I'm missing? *Desmond relayed Charlie's warning... why didn't he join Team Locke? *Why did Hurley lie to the interrogator about not knowing Ana Lucia? *What are these "rescuers" really after? *If these "rescuers" are out to hurt the survivors, as per what Ben says, then why did Hurley say that he should have went with Jack & not Locke? *Naomi says "tell my sister I love her" just before she dies... code? *The rescuers have a helicopter... could the reason why there were only 6 be because the helicopter couldn't fit more? And now that they're off the island, they can't find it since it's hard to get to? *Maybe the Oceanic 6 got off the island by doing something their not proud of? *Did Hurley say "He wants us to come back," or was it "it."?
Some other speculation I heard: *Some think that Kate was referring to Sawyer last season when she told Jack she had to get back or "he" will wonder where she is. If Sawyer is still on the island, then if you tell an adult where you are going to be they understand but a child may not. The "he" might be her son. Sawyer's son. *Not everyone left the island. Oceanic is trying to cover up anything. Something happened and only 6 of the people left. *Right now Jack's only focus is getting off the island. In the future his only focus is getting back to it. The 6 were forced to say everyone on the island is dead ("I'm sick of lying" to Kate). He now is obsessed with 'fixing' his mistake in leaving the survivors behind. Fixing in his previous life destroyed his life (his wife, his dad). Fixing this in the future will save his life.

excellent points all the way around and good points to speculate on !
(ps - Hi Lissette!! )
This show is back totally back to prime form after last year's crummy first half of the season.. last night was AWESOME and I think its only going to get better (albeit more confusing.. but isn't that what LOST is all about.. it's part of the fun )

Re: LOST - question- "are you going to tell?"
Oh and I have no idea who is in the coffin.. I thought last season it was Michael.. now I"m not so sure
I've also always thought that the 'he' that Kate needs to 'go back to' in the flashfoward with Jack in last season's finale wasn't anyone from the Island perhaps..I think Sawyer would be TOO obvious (plus I just don't see Kate winding up with him.. even if he did get off the Island) I thought it was someone unrelated to anyone we've yet met.. OR as others have speculated that it is her child.. (we don't know how far into the 'future' we are seeing so it could very well be another man we don't yet know or a child -)

Re: LOST - question- "are you going to tell?"
do you think Kate assumed the identity of one of the people who "didnt survive". I am guessing they said they (the 6) were the only survivors.
I have to assume Jin and Sun left, since she knew she would die if she had the baby on the island

That's what I was thinking also. I also think that Kate's "he" is a son.

Re: LOST - question- "are you going to tell?"
So this is my theory. I haven't read this anywhere- so I could be totally wrong and the only one who thinks this. This is also on my vague memory of how last season ended.
I think "Not Penny's Boat" people are sent by Penny's dad to get, and kill Desmond. Obvioulsy Penny is still obsessed with him, so Penny's dad wants to find him, kill him and bring his body back so Penny can mourn and get over him.
I also think they left people on the island.
Just somethign to think about- the Oceanic Six may be just the 6 Americans or those that go back to America. Whose to say that they all go back to LA once they are rescued? They may go somewhere else and each back to their respective countries (Claire to Australlia, Sun and Jin to Korea, etc...) That way, more than 6 people survive and are rescued- and I can be happier knowing that Sawyer, Bernard, Rose, Sun, Jin and Claire are ALL safe.

Good theory. But I think in the end bernard and rose will stay, remember the island cured her cancer. If she comes back she may be dying again

Hmmm but Rose stayed with jack and said I am not going anywhere with that man (meaning John Locke)
I also vote for the "him" to be Kate's son. The others were checking to see if she was preggo too remember
