Lots of Pressure

Down there...I'm 32 weeks and apparently by Chat Icon has her head way down already and is also facing down. I saw the dr yesterday and he did a sono...didn't seem concerned about her being positioned so good already but I have to admit I'm a little worried. I'm only 32 weeks and don't want to go so early that she will end up in the NICU.

The pressure is really uncomfortable and the dr. thinks I should go out sooner from work...like by 34 weeks...I was planning on going out at 36 weeks. Has anyones baby positioned so early and still been born around the due date?

Re: Lots of Pressure

Have not arrived at my due date yet, but I am the same way. LittleChat Icon has been head down (very low) for two weeks now and I am only 31 weeks. They don't seem too worried. I am in excrutiating pain from the pressure she has on my pelvis. I was even sent to labor and delivery last week for the pain. It is awful. I hope you feel better!!!Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Lots of Pressure

I hope you feel better. Do not worry too much if your baby ends up in NICU. Babies get great care there and it is often just a precaution. You're already in the homestretch and your baby has great odds even if born tomorrow. I have the pelvic pain and pressure, yet my baby is breech at 34 weeks. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

Re: Lots of Pressure

my baby is in position too and i am 33 weeks - the pressure can get pretty bad at night -- i actaully had an appt and asked this last night and i was told - nope she is where she is supposed to be - most babies move into this position between 32 and 34 weeks so i am right on track........

good luck
i feel your pain!

I have it too. I think unfortunately its pretty normal. I am done work for now because of it and some other reasons. I am on my feet way to much when I work!! 12 hours straight and i am almost 32 weeks. We have to do whats best for our health and our babies!!

Re: Lots of Pressure

I didn't have that pressure at all with my DS and he was born on the due date...but I was in horrible labor for 2 days.
On the other hand, with my DD last year..KILLER pressure-especially at night. She was born 10 days early and plopped right out in less than 3 hours.

Re: Lots of Pressure

I am 36 weeks and the baby has been in position for the last month. Don't worry, although I understand your discomfort.
