Love this Look (different wood tones)
Love how the dark floor looks with the dark & light furniture.
And I like this flooring too.
We are thinking about flooring and I was on the Wilsonart Flooring (laminate) website and I came across some of their pics of their flooring.
Love this one with all the different wood tones.

I like the first one and the last one. The first pic looks exactly like the laminate wood flooring we put down in our house! Love the look with the light furniture.

It would look awesome, what type of floor is it... real wood or laminate?

Laminate by Wilsonart. This stuff is soooo hard. We fell in love with the product when we saw it. It will be a high traffic room, so we thought that laminate would work better then the bamboo would. I really wanted the bamboo, but I think this product will work much better.

Re: Love this Look (different wood tones)
I love the contrast thing too! I even love mixing modern and traditional decor too!
This one is the feel of our new kitchen...
I went with black painted instead of cream on some of the cabinets mixed with cognac stained cabinets but our woodwork/trim will be cream (BM Butter Pecan). But that is close to our stained pieces and wall color. And the floor we're doing a hand scraped engineered (has to be engineered over radiant heat) in a darker tone close to this one.
Love it! I saved that pic! I was planning on refinishing our table... black chairs, black legs and stained wood top but I like the cream table with black chairs too!
ETA: It's funny... if you look through my research/inspiration book (yes, I have a huge 3 ring binder!) most of my pics are cream cabinets. But everytime I went to see them in person, I was so drawn to the wood tone and black!

Re: Love this Look (different wood tones)
I absolutely LOVE the look of the floor in pic #3 also. I love how the wood grain contrast.
I also loved the look of different wood tones.
Unfortunately I have an issue with being too matchy. Its my biggest decorative flaw. I've seen gorgeous pics of white wood paired with dark mahogany and bright colors. I think it looks great but I can never get myself to think outside of the box like that when it comes down to it.

Re: Love this Look (different wood tones)
I really LOVE the look of the dark wood the most- always have- but recently i heard how the scratches on it show up and stick out really badly. It kind of dissuades me from it.

I think it looks GREAT in the picture. I would have to see this in person though which surprises me because I'm usually pretty good about visualising.
