LOVED the new e-voting!!
Here in Maryland we are using the electronic voting machines for the first time. I was nervous I'd screw it up so I made sure to go at an *off* time (10am).
It was SO easy- all on touch screens and no dealing with handles/levers. I was in and out in less than 10 minutes.
Now- I'm curious to see if there will be any electronic versions of "hanging chads"

That's awesome, I just posted on another thread the way we had to vote (in FL)... i'll repost it here. I didn't like it, no booths or anything.
We got a form and had to connect arrows with a pen! They all looked like this === ===> and we had to connect the middle to the people we were voting for. Then we fed our form through a ballot machine.
I liked the levers when I voted in NY.

There have been all kinds of problems with the electronic voting - the machines don't register the vote, or they change the vote.
People have to make sure to review their votes at the end to make sure this didn't happen.

At the end of the process, it shows who/what I voted for and had a "go back" button if I wanted to change anything. Everything was what it should be, so I touched "cast ballot". You don't get your e-card back until you cast your ballot, so you have to do a check.
Considering that NOTHING is fool proof it seems, I'm not surprised to hear there are hiccups.

Thats so cool! I kinda still love the feeling of going and walking in and casting my vote though  But I'd definitely try it if we had it her.

This is how I voted when I lived in NC. It's pretty common.
When I voted in the primaries in NY, we were told that this is the last year in NY for the old lever-style voting booths... I'm guessing we're going electronic in NY, too, next year? Anyone know?

we had it here in NJ too-- it was so easy. I unchecked and rechecked my vote for Pres though since I didn't notice the "confirmation screen" at the bottom til the end...
Very easy though!!!
