Low Salt Food Ideas
Now that I am being monitored closely for the possibility of preeclampsia, I have to stick to a no salt/low salt diet. Can anyone suggest any food ideas/food brands? I am going crazy trying to think of things to eat! Everything has salt!

Re: Low Salt Food Ideas
i would stay away from most, if not all, premade foods because they contain tons of sodium.
if you make your own sauce you can do pasta. you can also do grilled chicken or steak, and sauteed or steamed veggies.

Agreed, stay away from all premade foods, including the most obvious of fast food and canned soups.
Grapefruit and grapefruit juice is supposed to be a natural dieretic as well - that may help pass some water. Good Luck!

Asparagus and cucumbers are great to get rid of water. For a sweet snack there is sherbert made with all natural fruit and edys ice cream isnt that high. If you use bread crumbs there is matzo meal instead. otherwise just eat everything fresh.
