OMG that's great Chat Icon

Is that what happens? Do they drive up the thrill factor of landing them by having lower quantities of them so that it feels like a challenge? Kind of like the hottest toys at Christmas? I'd rather spend double for the "other lulu's" nicer looking, butter soft leggings that I can walk into the mall and walk out with and am confident in the quality of.

Basically. There is a huge resale market. I could sell certain ones I have and make a decent profit. The dress in my album is a highly sought after print. I could sell on eBay for double what I paid. But I love it so I won't.

I also won't pay over retail for any. I think that's crazy.

I find all their stuff ugly as hell. I swear it's like hideous print leggings are taking over the world. I'm just hoping this direct sale hotness will disappear as fast as it came.

I thought the same thing!! Ppl are going nuts over this but their clothes....hmmm not really appealing Chat Icon

Honestly, their leggings really are the MOST comfortable I have found. They are super soft and flattering (im not constantly lifting them, they don't twist or bunch up, etc.) The price isn't terrible either I'd totally spend $25 over $15 for others because of the quality... I work from home so I wear leggings a LOT hahaha.

Other items I like: Cassie pencil skirt, Julia dress, Irma top, Nicole dress, and Randy top. They are really just basics in any wardrobe - I don't get how any these styles are "hideous" unless you hate pencil skirts, form fitting tee shirt dresses, baseball tops, etc.

Some patterns are wild and totally not my style but most are ok. They offer plenty of solids which I tend to stick to.

I say don't knock it until you try it lololol...

Plus unrleated but the women who started the company is a pure freakin genius. It's like no other direct sales company out there. As a women in business, I would love to meet her. The business plan, social media presence, comradery and competitive nature of it all is absolutely amazing and astonishing. She has basically created a cult empire like no other. I am jealous it was not my idea but she is definitely a case study for entrepreneurs or momtrepreneurs (mahaha).

I had to laugh tonight when my 4yo commented about how soft my leggings were. I agree with a pp, don't knock it until you try it!

My MIL loves those clothes. She bought leggings for me and my DD, but they didn't fit us right. They were way too long from the crotch to the waist, on both of us. I know I have a short torso, but these were ridiculously long. In the donation pile they went.

A few of my friends sell it, some of the dresses are cute, but I haven't bought anything. $35 for a t-shirt is a bit steep.

Buy sell groups. I hate the parties. Waste of time.

Re: LuLaRoe

I want to try just plain black leggings. I've heard mixed things. I think they are making stuff too fast now and quality has gone down.

outside of that I am not a pattern person at all. Their prints are just too loud for me. It is based on Mormon modesty clothing style. I find the dresses and shirts to be rather frumpy for me.

others swear by it though.

I have seen the dresses and I would have to hem like 6 inches off the length to even bring them.remotely into the ballpark of my usual hemlines. Chat Icon

1 scary mommy claimed the leggings are $40. The regular price is $25. Tops are around $35- but are longer to cover your butt while wearing leggings.

2 they have comfortable yoga band waist instead of a thick elastic band I have seen on store brands.

3 Their patterns are limited to 5,000. pieces, which could be split between leggings, dresses, tops, skirts... which is why some people are battling it out to buy certain patterns... Host a party online or in home and you might have an easier time snagging a pair in what you are looking for.

4. I swore off leggings after trying 2 pairs from a store. Bought one LLR pair from a friend and a couple months later owned over 10 pairs and now have 2 matching pairs for my 3 yo... and various other clothes of theirs for work... so I put my name on the list to sell and 8 weeks later am still waiting to be enrolled to place my initial inventory order... Its different from most direct marketing companies because the consultants don't know what patterns or solid shades they get until the boxes arrive, so they are taking their own pictures there are no catalogs to order from.

Re: LuLaRoe

To each their own, but I get invited to so many launches and Facebook parties. Like at least once a week. This has been going on now for over a year. About 1 in every 3 people I know is LLR consultant. Because it has been shoved down my throat, I won't try it. The same thing happen with Norwex 2 years ago. I actually bought some things before it became popular, and love it, but then everyone became a consultant and for a good amount of time there were at least 2 parties a week.

I'm wearing solid black LLR leggings right now. I feel like I'm in PJs. They are WAY softer than any other leggings I've ever found. And I think $25 isn't a bad price. My Vera Wang leggings from Kohl's were that price and while they're quality (not see through, don't stretch, comfortable waist band) they are nowhere near as soft.

I also have a pencil skirt from them which is fantastic. It's a more tame print- mint green with white polka dots. It was billed to me as "the sweatpants of pencil skirts." Chat Icon And it is! It's flattering but stretchy and comfy.

I have a few more pieces coming this week- two tees, a dress, and another pencil skirt.

ETA: I will agree that some of the prints are horrendous... and some of the clothes seem so large. But that's easily solved- size down. They also have a lot of cute styling techniques for their bigger items- like the Irma shirts and the Carly dresses.

I just read the scary mommy post and although entertaining it's not accurate at all! The author doesn't even have the prices right and the pressure to buy something is basically non existent. Consultants post inventory to their FB page. You browse and buy at your own leisure, they don't even know you're shopping. I guess if you're going to an in person party I could see some pressure but not anymore than any direct sales party (which I personally hate). Also, I've never heard of anyone "fighting" over leggings lolol..

this article is ridiculous and now has me thinking about sticks of butter and if I have cottage cheese thighs hahahaha
