Re: lunch ideas for 1 year old?
DD is over 18 months but for a while now she's been having: grilled cheese, pasta, Annie's mac & cheese, Dr. Praeger's spinach pancakes, veggie burgers, scrambled eggs, toast or mini bagel w/ cream cheese. Anything really!

Re: lunch ideas for 1 year old?
Love all your ideas but I have SUCH a picky eater. She has a yogurt most days for lunch and maybe a cereal bar. Sometimes she'll have 2 piece of cinnamon raisin toast (she'd live on just raisins if I allowed it). I do the fish sticks, chicken nuggets and Dr. Praegers broccoli and spinach bites EVERY night for dinner...so I never do them for lunch. My DD HATES pasta of any kind...even mac n' cheese (if she only knew how good it is)...so there isn't much she'll eat for lunch/dinner. It's frustrating. She'll eat grilled cheese occasionally.

Re: lunch ideas for 1 year old?
She usually gets leftovers from dinner the night before, but she's a good eater and eats what we do most nights. I keep some never-fail meals in the freezer in case there's no leftovers or I don't think she'll eat them. Soup is always a winner, as are lentils and mashed potatoes. Other options are: Pasta with veggies and sauce Black beans with salsa, avocado and rice

my DD is very picky. She will only eat pastina and pizza for lunch. Sometimes she will have chicken cutlets/nuggets.

Mine is simliar- she used to be a great eater- now she barely eats anything. Refuses things she used to like- like pasta She will SOMETIMES eat mac and cheese- but has to be in the right mood. It's SOOO hard She would live on pancakes and yogurt (and only a CERTAIN kind of yogurt-she refuses all others) if I let her!

Ditto to this - it's soooo frustrating isn't it? My DD used to eat scrambled eggs, pizza...she pretty much used to eat anything I gave her. Now she says no to most everything. She's great at breakfast - well great means she'll eat waffles or french toast. No pizza, no eggs...she refused the yogurt for a good 3 mos - she just started getting back into it. I am starting to feel like a bad mom b/c I only make the same thing for her for dinner every night...I just know she will refuse anything else. I hope she gets out of this phase.

Re: lunch ideas for 1 year old?
I made turkey meatballs and dd gobbled them up. Reg meatballs too.
Quesadillas are a fav around here and you can hide so much in them.
English muffin pizzas are another hit and I put chicken on it, but you top with anything really

the Nutri Grain bars have high fructose corn syrup in them...I try to stay away from that whenever possible for DD. I get Trader Joe's cereal bars...they are similar to Whole Foods ones but about half the price. DD loves them and they have many flavors!
Fish sticks I do Dr. Praegers...they also come in bites in cute shapes but I still cut them up for DD so she wouldn't even notice the cute little shapes. I do Dr. Praegers Spinach and Broccoli pancakes or bites too. I LOVE Dr. Praegers. Most regular supermarkets carry them - in my Stop and Shop though they are with the organic frozen foods I think. They are easy to find in Whole Foods.
Chicken Nuggets I get at Costco - they are in mickey mouse head shapes and are breaded in Whole Grain breading - i try to get that when possible. I see whole grain breading in Target too - not sure what brand that is though.
I forgot about sweet potato fries...DD loves these as well!

I buy Gerber cereal bars Gorton's fish sticks- they are dont' have artificial ingrediants and have Omegas in them.
She doesn't really eat chicken nuggets- but I'm not picky
As long as she eats- that's all I worry about
At this point, McD's fries are fine.
