What does your 1 year old eat for lunch and dinner... need healthy meal ideas!!
Now that DD will be off formula soon I really need to come up with some more healthy meal ideas for her.
Give me your best ones!

Re: What does your 1 year old eat for lunch and dinner... need healthy meal ideas!!
yogurt, fruit, waffles, english muffin with a little jelly for breakfast
At daycare for lunch she usually eats the Gerber Graduates meals - sometimes lunch meat, cheese, veggies, fruit
For dinner she'll have some kind of a veggie (usually something green since her iron was on the lower side at her 1yr appt) plus a meat and sometimes a slow melt Popsicle for dessert
We give her these things for dinner pretty regularly:
meat-free "chicken nuggets" meat-free "meatballs" wheat pasta Gerber Graduates meal sometimes or whatever we're eating for dinner
Hope this helps!

Aren't those gerber graduate meals big pieces?? I cut everything up for DD really really tiny still. Anything too big and she spits it out...
She still only has 2 teeth so I feel like when I give her pasta it has to be really tiny b/c she can't chew it.
Where do you get the meatless chicken nuggets and meatballs?

Once they are on table food, I offer up cut up portions of whatever we are eating (pasta, chicken, meatballs, lasagna, stuffed shells, etc)

veggie burgers Dr. Praegers spinach/potato pancake or broccoli/pot. pancake ravioli raisin bread with cream cheese mac n cheese with peas and carrots
I will give this along with a fruit (Kiwi, pineapple, applesauce, mango, peaches, grapes, strawberries, blueberries)
and then either cheese or yogurt.
Chloe's not a fan of any kind of meet otherwise I would try to give her some chicken or cold cuts.

is she still with your MIL?
Luce's not quite that old, but he has 6 teeth and eats like a champ.
my MIL makes him scrambled eggs, beans, greek yogurt with diced fruit, diced avocado, small pieces of cheese, small pieces of roasted/boiled carrots and potatoes (usually I roast/boil and keep in the freezer)
also, I use these
and make a quick mac n cheese with shredded cheddar and either pureed carrots or spinach.
I also make risotto and he'll have that with veggies for the week. he LOVES rice!!!!!

They make a different gerber graduate that has smaller pieces, but still might be too big for her.
grilled cheese cream cheese and jelly mac and cheese (i make it with veggies) pasta with veggie/tomato sauce

Re: What does your 1 year old eat for lunch and dinner... need healthy meal ideas!!
for breakfast (don't like waffles or pancakes too often) I make him regular oatmeal and scramble an egg into it while cooking. or small pcs of fruit like bananas/ apples / or pears.
I give reallly soft rice or pastina w/ cut up carrots and tiny pcs of chicken. sometimes I will use broccoli /squash
now that he is getting older he is starting to eat more of our table food, just cut small
If you want healthy, I think you are better off just making large batches of these kind of things, and not using the boxed (or any processed) foods. DS always hated the gerber pastas and other toddler foods.

great ideas! This pasta is great. If I can't find this I get ditalini which is similar. when Chloe first started eating table foods peas, soft steamed carrots, cheese, and banana were all really easy
