lunch ideas for 16 month old
What do you give your dc for lunch?
We are sending jacen to daycare twice a week and packing his lunches has become quite hard. I feel like we feed him the same things over and over again. I would feel weird sending him with a PB&J sandwich every day. But it's the 1 thing we know he'll eat. Sometimes he eats certain foods and then next week he won't.
-he doesn't do soups -he won't eat anything he can't feed himself -he only has 8 teeth so certain foods he still can't have -he's quite picky sometimes

Re: lunch ideas for 16 month old
I was going to suggest "rollups" (cold cuts) you can put a cheese slice in them.
Does he like hummus? You could do hummus sandwiches.
Tuna fish
Cream cheese and jelly sandwiches
Cut up chicken pieces (purdue makes ready to eat slices you could cut up into small bites

He doesn't like tuna fish and he doesn't eat chicken nuggets.
Maybe i'll try the cheese & jelly sandwiches or hummus.

Oh good.
When Christopher was in daycare, I just made extra of what he had for dinner the night before and sent it in. Like an extra grilled cheese or quesadilla and just put it in a take and toss and they reheated it.

yeah see he's finicky so sometimes we find ourselves making him a 2nd meal when he doesn't eat the first one.

Re: lunch ideas for 16 month old
Have you tried those dr. praeger pancakes yet?
Boca burgers
Pastas (w/ just butter and parm cheese, and mix in some chopped spinach) he can pick this up and feed himself, especially rotini or cavatelli or tortellini You can even mix in peas and carrots
You can try the meatloaf muffins - that way they are individual servings and he can pick up a piece and eat it.

He used to eat the praeger pancakes and now doesn't. He used to eat the boca burgers and now doesn't. He used to eat peas/corn and now doesn't.
He only likes 2 kinds of pasta- elbows and ritalini i think it is.
Did i mention he's a pain?
