Lupron - mood swings
Last cycle I don't think the Lupron affected me this bad...
It is constant tears or anger..and the worst side effect I just got was pure rage. My DH did something really trivial that set me off and I wanted to punch his daylights out..and even took a few girly swings at his arm..
I am completely ashamed at myself and upset which is why I am on the computer right now....
Anyone else get side effects this bad?? I also get really dizzy but that I got last time too.
The anger part scared me That's really not me.

I definitely was affected by the lupron. Sad and mopey. Try calling your RE, maybe he/she can lower your dosage. How many units are you currently taking?

Re: Lupron - mood swings
Lupron really does make me totally and completely loopy And yes, I find myself losing patience MUCH quicker and losing my temper quicker too. I've had to take a lot of timeouts for myself

OMG, all the meds affect me this way, so dont worry about it It happens...for sure. Lupron was probably the worst for me, though. I was psychotic!

Same here - which I really think is the reason I had the fight w DH last night. If the police were there they would have had me arrested LOL..scary.
I am actually going home 1/2 day today...I just need to go home and watch TV...

Go home and watch trashy TV all day! Sometimes you just need a mental health day!

Don't get too nervous...like I said my first cycle on it I had no issues except for a slight headache. This time around, headache, dizziness, extreme mood swings / teariness..but everyone is different. I hope you don't get that! I started feeling the dizziness and headache about Day 4ish...and the teariness that week too...now it's the 2nd week and the moodiness / *****-fits have started.

Re: Lupron - mood swings
I've only done once cycle with Lupron and I was somewhat irritable. I noticed myself getting aggravated about little things that normally wouldn't bother me. I'm not sure if that was from the medication or just from the stress of this whole process. I also had a bad migraine that lasted for several days.

Thanks Jen! I sure do hope I am ok too. Only time will tell! How do you control your emotions at work? This is one of my main concerns. I would like to hold it all in until I get home. (poor DH)
I hope you are feeling more normal soon.

Re: Lupron - mood swings
Umm... Well luckily my boss went through IVF too and had the same reaction to Lupron so she understands...but if I am having a "moment"...I close my door or go into the bathroom take some deep breaths and get a drink of water...
