Lupron injection..is this ok?
So DH gave me my first Lupron injection this am. Now I have a welt at the area of the injection and it is itchy...is this OK??

Yes It's normal to have a little irritation. Where are you injecting it. Lupron is a microfine needle and shouldn't be to irritating to your skin. How much lupron are you taking?

I am taking 10 units..and using the ultra fine needle, 50cc. I injected under my belly button.
The irritation is getting better!

You might want to put a warm compress on it immediately after the injection. I also find it easier to do the belly injections myself. DH only does the butt injections.

Yes the same thing happened to me. The welt goes away on its own. Make sure the alcohol is dry before you take the shot.
