MAC people... (eta: computer related, not makeup)
I have had so many problems with my current Dell Laptop that after I smash it with a sledgehammer I am considering getting a MAC. I had one in college and loved it, but went into the corporate world where they don't use them.
Anyway, I own software for my Windows based computer that I was wondering if I could still run on my MAC? I have read that this is possible but can you tell me specifically if it is easy to do? Or do I have to purchase another program to allow me to do this (Boot camp?)????
The programs I am specifically looking to run are: Photoshop elements Microsoft Office
Thank you so much!!!

You have to read the label.
Some software have both versions on the disc.
Most are just for the one operating system.
I know Office has its own MAC Version. Depending on your Adobe product, it "may" have it.

ITA - typically unless your running PC OS on your mac you have to buy the mac version.

a second option you have is to dual boot your laptop to still run windows. You would need dual boot software from Apple, then you will have to get Windows
then you will have both worlds on 1 laptop.

Yes, I think this is what I was referring to... Do you need to buy special software to do this? And then buy Windows?
Trying to decide if it is more cost efficient to just repurchase the programs.

You definitely have to get the Microsoft for Mac software... your Windows based software won't work as far as I know.
I think the same is true for Photoshop as well.

You will need Boot Camp then i would be an OEM version of Windows 7 Home Premium.
OEM is just a cheaper way of buying software for system builders.
