Macros people- help me work out the numbers

So I have an understanding of macros now but i've never really implemented them & I want to change things up.

I'm just finishing up a 4-week challenge that had me at 1600cal/day & my macros were 35c/40p/25f. I was training 5-6 days/week weights & cardio. I lost 5lbs which is good but I def don't want to be too skinny (& i'm starting to feel that now).

So now i want to add lean muscle back on. I'm 34, 5'1" currently 120lbs. I was thinking of having 1600-2000cal/day (depending on training days). What's the best macro breakdown?
I've seen a few articles recommend 55c/25p/20f or 45c/30p/25f. Does it matter? Will those slight changes make a huge difference? Wdyt?

Thanks!

There are a couple of different ways to gain muscle. You can go through a bulk/cut cycle in which your body will be in a caloric surplus to build muscle. It doesn't need to be extreme but with muscle gain will come some fat gain inevitably. Again, doesn't need to be a lot.

The other option is to set your numbers to maintenance to recomp. It is a much slower process and people often get discouraged by lack of results---or really the time it takes to see results but it works if you are lifting heavy and doing what you need to in the gym/with your diet.

Also, I am assuming your numbers are based on percentages? If so, I would NEVER keep my fats as low as .25. The lowest you should go for hormonal function is .4x bodyweight. Forgive me if I am misunderstanding your post!
