Made consult appt for LI IVF!!! UPDATE!
I finally bit the bullet and made my first appointment with Dr. Brenner from LI IVF!!! DH is unable to attend the first appointment due to work though. I am so nervous!!! It is wednesday morning....didn't think it would be scheduled so soon!!! Anyone go there?
Update:
My appointment was actually with Dr. Pena, who was wonderful! He has a sense of humor, which I like!! He told me I need to lose some lbs....shocking....and took blood...did internal sono...and gave me a HUGE checklist to do!!! I am expecting AF in a couple days, so I have to come in on CD 3 for more blood work...go for my HSG? (the "check the tubes" test)...and DH needs to get blood work done and swimmies checked. Looks like I know what we are doing this weekend!! PS....just spoke with DH and he had the nerve to tell me that "NO WAY is he getting blood taken"....I am sorry...but WTF!!! He will have to get over it :).....

my first appt was Monday
so far so good, Dr. Brenner was good. took about an hour talking, then did a physical....then 14 vials of blood!

Good luck! I was nervous the first time I met with an RE but afterwards I felt SO relieved. It felt great knowing I had someone working hard to get me pregnant, I felt very proactive which was a good feeling. Three months after my initial appt. I was pregnant with my DD. Clearly it was the BEST appt. I ever made!

I have my appointment for tomorrow! I'm more interested in the endo part bc I already know that I have hypothyroism. Which reminds me I need to pick up my blood work from my regular doc!

Spoke with nurse today and she said my blood tests all came back good and I definitely ovulated....now onto dh and the h s g!!

glad it went well... i totally understand what you mean about being "proactive". i didn't see an RE yet - but my ob/gyn has started me with a lot of what an RE would... dh went for SA, we did a post-coital test, i've done bloodwork, i started clomid etc. the dr said that 'sometimes' if there isn't necessarily a medical problem, and it is only stress, that the feeling of being proactive sometimes takes the edge off and helps it happen. that said, we've found out that dh has some problems that showed up in his SA, so that's probably what's hindering us - and he has an appointment with a urologist that specializes in infertility on the 22nd. they haven't sent me for hsg yet - only bc i've gotten pregnant AND his SA results lead them to believe it has nothing to do with my tubes. but we'll see... anyway, fm me if you ever want to talk - seems like we are going through these 1st steps together

Wow...that is awesome that your OB started doing all of this for you!! Mine said that he guarenteed I would be preggo in 6 months....and said if I wanted I could see an RE. So far my blood tests came back good, and I ovulated this month....so now to see about DH. Thanks for the response...and keep me updated!!!
