magic kingdom in a day with a toddler
For those BTDT moms do you think it's best to go first thing in the morning or later afternoon to catch the fireworks.

magic kingdom in a day with a toddler
We were just there and this is what we did:
We got there as soon as the park opened and did as much as we could until lunchtime. After lunch, we went back to the hotel so she could nap because I wanted her to be ok for a late night. She is 2.
We got back to the park around 5:30 and were there until midnight and she did great.
If your DC is a good napper in the stroller than you may not have to go back to the hotel.
FYI...we were only able to complete half of Magic Kingdom in that one day.

I would go in the morning and play the day by ear.

Re: magic kingdom in a day with a toddler
I would go right when it opens in the morning and decide what to do with the rest of the day later... we've been a few times just for the day (we live close by) and spend the entire day there. DD would nap in the stroller when she was younger.

Definitely at rope drop. None of the rides have lines.

Right in the am for sure. Your child may not make it to fireworks regardless...my DD never did even though we spent 3 days+ in MK alone.

We also never made it at the parks long enough for fireworks.
We did watch from the Polynesian beach one night when the fireworks were done on an early night.

We were there in January with our 2yo and did the same thing. We went super early to do all of the rides, went back to the hotel around lunch time to eat and nap. We took the shuttle back at 5ish, had dinner there and stayed for the fireworks. It was perfect!

This exactly. If you're planning to go in the next two months you really need to get there when they open, otherwise you will be waiting on long lines.
I just returned from a trip with my 19 month old. We would get there for rope drop, do all of the rides we wanted, then head back to our hotel for a nap. We'd go have dinner and then head back for the evening.
