Mailing Christmas Cards

Did you bring your to the post office or did you leave them in your mailbox for the postman to pick them up?

I can't get out of the house today - but I really wanted to mail mine - is this not a good idea?

Re: Mailing Christmas Cards

I have about 60-65 cards - do you think that is too much to put in the mailbox?

I mean they will fit in the mailbox - I just don't want him to be Chat Icon

Re: Mailing Christmas Cards

I mailed mine from my work mailbox, but I wouldn't leave them for the postman. They are sooo busy this time of year.

I like the feeling of accomplishment of getting them out at the post office after writing them out. The mailbox would work just as well!

I mailed about 50 or so of them. I put a rubber band around them and left them in my box for the mailman to take. He did Chat Icon

My mailman won't even take back mail that he delivered to my house by mistake. I tried the next day to hand it to him and he said it was "against postal regulations" Chat Icon

So I took them to the post office myself.

Really? I leave that for my mailman, but I always think he leaves it in the truck! He's a weirdo though--and he doesn't use a mail truck, he stashes the mail on the back of a regular old pick up! Chat Icon

I think it's just that my mailman is a tad on the lazy side. I got a small padded envelope in the mail the other day that wieghed less than a catalog. He stopped the truck when he got near my house to drop off the envelope, and then parked up the block to start his route.
