Major ice storm here (pics)
I had no electricity from 5:00am until just now. My house is COLD!!! I had no phone service either since we have cable internet/phone....looks like I'm switching that asap. It was eerie today.

trees and tree limbs are falling down because they are so heavy

I heard on the news that there were a lot of power outages including some schools. Sorry you had to deal with that.

I know it's dangerous and it stinks that you were without heat and power...but ice storms make for gorgeous settings. I love the sound of icy trees swaying in the wind - that cracking sound.

I was thinking the same thing. There was an ice storm in Phillly once when I lived there and the first thing I did when I stepped out of my house was slip down a bunch of steps. But everything looked so amazing.

I'm in Central Connecticut.
I used to live near Hartford, in Glastonbury. I remember the ice storms. They were a bit scary, but cool.
By the way, have you seen the movie The Ice Storm?
