What?? Don’t put it in the basement!
I use mine 3-4 times a week. Yesterday I cooked a spaghetti squash in it and then used the squash for ST spaghetti squash taco boats. Took 10 mins. I also make different kids of meatballs, chili, soups, pulled chicken/pork, sausage and peppers, tikka masala. You can sauté in the pot and then pressure cook to finish it off. I love the thing.

Re: make me use my instant pot
Skinnytaste has a lot of instant pot recipes. I also got some from the NYTimes cooking section.
I've just been lazy with it, but when I do make things, I am not disappointed with how easy it is. I even like Instant Pot's slow cooker feature better than my crock pot, just because I can saute/brown meat in the Instant Pot and then set it to either slow cook or pressure cook.
Still need to try it for yogurt and eggs.

Re: make me use my instant pot
Made a test batch of brown rice in it last night. Took a little longer than on the stovetop, but the texture came out perfect. Froze the leftovers in portion control bags.

You can cook a whole chicken in 30 minutes!
Even better, chicken soup with amazing broth! Just throw in a whole chicken, or cut up chicken, carrots, celery, onion, salt, pepper, herbs you like, cover with water, 30 minutes and you have the best chicken soup.
We don't eat noodles, but I'm sure there's a way to throw them in too! or rice!
