Makeup question for those with sensitive skin

I've always had sensitive skin. I've heard that your skin can become more sensitive to makeup during pregnancy.

I don't normally wear makeup except occasionally when I go out at night. I never wear foundation. However, when I get sick, like this morning, I break capillaries and get little red dots all over my face and neck. I'd like to cover these up. If you have sensitive skin, are there any brands of makeup you'd recommend? Should I look into concealer or foundation to cover up the red dots? TIA.

I love the bare minerals essentuals makeup. It covers well, is very light and gives you a glow.

Re: Makeup question for those with sensitive skin

I've been using Coverblend (concealer) since I got pregnant with my first baby. I don't usually like to put foundation or anything like that on my face and I like that this blends in beautifully with my skin tone.

I used to buy it at Ulta, but they now carry it at CVS. But it's in the aisle where the facial lotions/creams are.

Here is the product description

Product Description
A non-creasing, moisturizing concealer for correcting any skin flaw including dark eye circles, blemishes and age spots, while providing anti-aging treatment. Formulated with a unique Polyhydroxy acid, gluconolactone, to even skin tone and reduce appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Can be used for contouring to diminish the appearance of facial imperfections. All day wear. 4 shades: Light, Beige, Sand and Mahogany.

I use Prescriptives foundation, the lighter formula, and love it, it's very sheer and I have sensitive skin and it works great for me.

I've been wearing Bare Escentuals/Bare Minerals for the past 6 years and LOVE it. Sounds like it would be the best makeup for you.

I have some of the bare escentuals eye shadows and really like them. I'll probably head to the store and check out their foundation today. Thanks for the suggestions. Chat Icon
