Making your own ice pops

If you make the kiddies their own ice pops, what do you use to fill them? Thanks!

Re: Making your own ice pops

I made yesterday a recipe from a parenting magazine....canned pears with some heavy syrup, vanilla or plain yogurt, and blueberries blended and then poured into pop molds. DD loves them.

Re: Making your own ice pops

You can also use applesauce or any kind of baby food, mix about 50/50 with apple juice or any other kind of juice....

I like that idea because you know you get some "food" in there also...

This would be a good google search. Maybe later on today I'll search it!

I also freeze ripe bananas and Alex eats them as a popsicle.

Stupid question, but do they have to be super ripe?

Works better when they are super ripe, but I have used non-ripe bananas and Alex doesn't seem to care
