Definitely not at 3 months and definitely not sugar free which has artificial sweetners in it. DD is almost two and still hardly gets that kind of stuff.

I agree, she is WAY too young for that

Re: do you give ur child ice pops?
at 14 months - yes we do - she LOVES them.
She did have a 'little' taste of them when she was really little - but once or twice

I have given my dd licks from regular ice pops (she's now almost 2) but not at 3 months. I agree the sugar free variety of foods sometimes aren't necessarily best, I don't think it's that big a deal to give her a few licks though.

Re: do you give ur child ice pops?
DD is 9 months and I make her ice pops out of organic juice that I put in those mesh feed bag things- it helps w/ her teething, but it's messy.

ITA Absolutely not. If teething they can have a frozen teether.
Mine are 4 months and teething and DH suggested giving them an ice pop last weekend. I just looked at him like Good thing he said this while I was home.

My dh's co-worker has a daughter (who is the violent little girl~if anyone remembers that story) and he told my dh that he gives his daughter about 15 "icies" a day.

Re: do you give ur child ice pops?
DD is 13.5 mths and just had her first one over the weekend - she only ate about 1/3 of it and was tired of it - - 3 mths is way to young IMHO.

No..He is 2 and I still don't. I would never give a little baby anything with sugar in it or artificial sweetners

Re: do you give ur child ice pops?
At 1 year, my pediatrician said I could give them juice sparingly & watered down.
An ice pop is frozen juice. I would never consider giving juice to a 3 month old. It's empty calories.
For the small amount of food she takes in a day, you need that packed full of nutrients.
Let me know when she offers some bourbon for teething.

Ds has never has his own ice pop, but he's had tastes of mine. I think he may have had his first lick at 6 months or so.

Re: do you give ur child ice pops?
I can't eat anything without DD wanting to taste it so she has licked mine many times. But they're all natural juice and fruit bars from Trader Joes so I don't see how that's any different than her having juice or fruit. She loooooooves them!

Re: do you give ur child ice pops?
Charlie had his first one the other night. His father denied it but I walked in the living room and they both had blue lips! I would not have given him one at 3 months, but I was very paranoid about giving him anything then.

Re: do you give ur child ice pops?
when talia was a little older - maybe 6 months or so I would buy frozen peaches and put them in the little teething nets - we called them popsicles, and she loved it.

Re: do you give ur child ice pops?
when my son started teething, at 4+ months I gave him ice pops, but I poked small holes in the package with a pin instead of opening it normally, so he wasnt gnawing on big ice chunks.

Re: do you give ur child ice pops?
It's true we had so much more when we were their age. My daughter had an ice about 2 weeks ago and when I say she had it she had maybe 4 licks. My mom and dad gave it to her. I said no at first and then I was like a whatever. She just turned 6 months. Nothing is gonna happen to her. It's not like I let her eat the whole thing. If I were you I wouldn't stress over it. There is worse things you could give her. I'm more of a laxed mom though. I would try not to give her the artificial sweetners though.
oh and when she was about a month old my son had a blue lollipop and my aunt was holding her and no one was looking and my son said hey she liked it. We all turned around. He said I just gave her a lick of my lolly. We all thought it was cute because he was sharing with his sister so I just explained to him that he can't give her anything with out my permission because she could choke. No worries!!!

Re: do you give ur child ice pops?
Jules first ice pop was Pedialyte when she had a stomach virus at exactly one year. Even now, she hardly gets them unless they are all natural... I know my parents have been giving them to her though. She is almost two and a half.
