Male IF question
Just found out that we will need to see a male infertility specialist-.
This question may sound silly but is that an RE? If so does anyone have any recommendations. Thanks.

Re: Male IF question
Ideally you want your DH/SO to see a urologist that specializes in Male Infertility. If your DH/SO's issues can be resolved using the urologist (i.e. surgery for repair, etc) and you can get pregnant on your own then there is no need for you to see an RE.
We have severe male factor and went straight to an RE. We did IVF/ICSI and got pregnant on our first try. If you want to go straight to IF treatments than yes you need to see an RE.

Re: Male IF question
We found out a few months ago my husband has Azoospermia, which means he doesn't produce any sperm. We went to a male infertility urologist (Dr. Mellinger) in Garden City. He was very nice and extremely helpful. After my husband was diagnosed we went to an RE. Good Luck!

Re: Male IF question
My GYN suggested an IF specialist for DH after his SA results were not good.
We went to a urologist who specialzed in IF issues for DH, but also wound up going to an RE. The urologist told us one thing, and the RE another, and the RE was right.
