mammogram question...

what happens if you have very very VERY small breasts? i've seen news reports about mammogram check ups and it looks like a suction type of machine. what if there's nothing to suction? i'm not lying, i have a verrrrrry flat chest. just wondering what happens in that case?

it's not so much a suction, it's more of a squish :) they place your breast on a flat board and then another flat board (these are metal so it's COLD! ) goes on top and flattens the breast. they do this a few times so they make sure they get the x-ray from each angle. i have decent size breasts and i never had a problem, but i would imagine with something as common as a mammo. they are used to all shapes and sizes. if anything, maybe you'll need less compressions since you're smaller.
