Man Dead After Dog Mauling At Actor's Home

dog mauling incident was reported at the home of actor Ving Rhames on Friday morning, and one person is reported dead, according to police.

Police said they got a call at about 7:15 am about a body on a lawn with bite marks; the victim appeared to be the property caretaker.

The home is located near 26th St & San Vicente in Brentwood, west of Brentwood Country Club.

Note: The local ABC news channel is saying that there were several dogs loose on the property, including two mastiffs and an English bulldog that all belonged to Ving Rhames. The caretaker was a 40-year-old black man who had worked for the actor for the last few years, they said. The dogs have been captured and quarantined.

ETA: Updated with the latest from ABC News. Ving Rhames is out of the country and was not home at the time of the attack.
