March 2010 mommies, can we check in?
DD just turned 3 months old on the 15th. I cannot believe I ever complained about her, she is SUCH a good baby! Smiles alllll the time, laughs, and is very "talkative." She usually goes down for naps very easily and sleeps from 8:30pm to 3:00am or later every night, when she wakes to eat and goes back to sleep till about 7:00am.
She is definitely addicted to her paci, but only for sleeping, and that's okay with me since she's not using nursing as her pacifier! She also has to be swaddled tight to sleep well, which I am hoping to wean her from around 4/5 months old.
She is a very light eater - during the day she has three 5 oz. bottles but doesn't always finish them, then she nurses twice before bed and once in the middle of the night. However she is growing like a weed, very tall, and her arms and legs are getting adorably chubby
She also tried to roll from back to belly last night - which SHOCKED me since DS didn't do that till he was 5 months old! She almost made it but then got distracted by Dora
DS absolutely adores his little sister, always wants to hug and kiss her and lay next to her, and for some reason has never shown a shred of jealousy towards her
If I ever have another kid I am going to ask that they keep it in the hospital for the first 12 weeks and then I'll take it home

Re: March 2010 mommies, can we check in?
Ainsley is a wonderful little baby. She has been STTN since 3 weeks. This morning she started making little noises at 6:30 and I went in her room and put her aquarium on and she just sat there and stared for about 10-15 mins.
She no longer will take the paci, which is fine by me.
She is chunking up like you would not believe and I can't wait to see how much she weighs tomorrow at her 3 month appt (she'll actually be 3 1/2 months).
She LOVES Yo Gabba Gabba literally sits there mesmerized when it comes on.
She is smiley and giglling and talking a ton, but is also very serious like her big sister.
She doesn't get near enough tummy time because I'm always afraid Kaydyn will trip over her (which she has done twice now).
She eats 4oz every 2 1/2 hours during the day and doesn't nap very well (usually only one nap in the afternoon) but that's ok because she's sleeping through the night so I won't complain.

Kate Marie will ne 3 months old on the 28th!! I can't believe how fast things are going.
She rolls from her side to her back and vise versa. And if you put her on her belly on the boppy, she can crawl over it. I think she'll be walking next month.
She's been smiling and talking for a while now. Amd laughing since a few days ago, which is the cutest sound ever.
She is a little over 11 pounds. But has reflux and is getting nutramagin with rice cereal in her bottles. So I attribute that to the weight gain.
Happy and healty, but not yet sleeping through the night. We are workng on that. Amelia is in love with her baby sister and loves to kiss and hug her.
Here shs is giving Sophine some love. Image Attachment(s):

They twins are doing good..pretty much STTN. Going down to sleep around 9:30-10 and waking up for a bottle aorund 4-5 so I guess that is probably as good as I am going to get for now!
They are both smiling and cooing up a storm and are starting to enjoy their activity mats so much and the both love to just lay on the floor. DD is doing good on the alimentum and I just got insurance to pay for it so I am thrilled! DS is going pretty good, I just think he tends to be a bit fussy but not too bad, more smiles! It is nice to see them becoming their own little people!

Re: March 2010 mommies, can we check in?
DS turned 3 months on the 6th. As of this week, he weighs 10lbs 12oz, which is more than triple his birth weight!
I'm not sure if he's doing stuff a normal 3 month old does because he was 2 months premature and I'm not really worried about milestones at this point.
He's a bit of a finicky eater when I'm home. He'll nurse for 8 minutes or less on each breast and knock out on me. As soon as I move him, he's usually wide awake, lol. He'll nurse every 2 or 2.5 hours when I'm home. When I'm at work, he'll usually have up to 4 ounces every 3 hours, but sometimes he'll only drink 2 ounces and then will want to eat again an hour or hour and a half later. In the end he's getting the same amount, but I'm hoping he'll go back to eating every 3, if not more, hours just to make it a bit easier to get things done in between.
He's up a lot during the day, but will nap here and there. Last week he was giving me a 5 hour stretch at night from 10pm to 3am and I was LOVING that. But now he's back to being up every 3 hours (last night he was up EVERY HOUR to eat from midnight until 6am when he got up for the day... growth spurt maybe?). He still sleeps in his infant rocker or the swing.
He's SMILING a lot more now, but more interactive smiling like when we talk to him or play with him. I'm loving that so much! He's also cooing and making other little noises. I can't wait to hear him laugh
He's finally wearing size 0-3 months in clothing, lol. I recently put on a 3-6 size Mets outfit and it wasn't that big. His 0-3 Gerber sleep and plays are too snug, but other sleep & plays in that size fit fine still.
He has pretty good head control at this point. He can hold his head up on his own for a little while and is SO curious, always turning this way and that and following people as they move in a room. I definitely need to be better about tummy time with him!

Re: March 2010 mommies, can we check in?
DS is great! He naps well during the day (with a bit of coaxing, mommy knows how to do it best ) but we're still nowhere near STTN. He still gets up atleast twice but we're surviving. Like his big brother he's very strong. He can roll from front to back and from back to front. When he's on his belly he can lift his whole chest and hold up for a while without even using his hands. He's long and skinny so he's still in 0-3 month clothes, though pants are a bit short- good thing he's in shorts!

Re: March 2010 mommies, can we check in?
Noah is teething bad
He's so smiley, happy, kicking, starting to roll, but only back to side then gives up. But belly to back is no problem for him, he hates being on belly and just starts wiggling like crazy to get out of that position. A week ago, he would just lay there and play and smile at everything around him, and I could leave him by himself in the crib to just daydream and babble to his mobile. Now he's all clingy, cries for me. I was saving the teething tabs, and everything else for nighttime, when needed, but during daytime I medicate with love But that doesn't seem to be enough lately, something is definitely happening to my perfect baby.
He started STTN, like real STTN, not just 6 hours, a whole 10 hours just as his teething got really bad. I guess thats the tradeoff.
He's grabbing toys and everything in his reach and pulling it to his mouth. The aim is a little off, he bonks himself a lot, but he's trying to chew on everything. Puts his hand together and then tries to shove them both in his mouth. I should be proud, I was afraid he'd be really late for this milestone of putting hands together for toys.
He only recently started to take paci, my theory is he's only using it to chew on.
He's already doubled his birth weight, and the next batch of clothes I buy are going to be 12m clothes.
He's almost outgrown the baby bjorn.
My head is spinning at how fast this is going.
here he is at 3m birthday Image Attachment(s):
