Re: March Mommies-Check in!
Hanging in there. Been nesting the past 2 days now, and can't stop cleaning. DH is loving it, and finds it pretty amusing. Can't believe our 9 month journey is almost at the end already. I honestly feel like I just found out myself, ya know. It went by so quickly, thank goodness with no troubles. I do have a c section scheduled for Friday March 5th if DS doesnt decide to come before then. Sitting around and waiting is a killer though. Im as ready as I'll ever be to be a mom, just waiting on little man to make his grand appearance. Hope everyone is holding up well and feeling good. We are so close to meeting our LO.

Go you with the cleaning! I am in so much pain I do things very slowly!
I told DH I feel like I sprained my crotch!

Re: March Mommies-Check in!
I know, just a few more weeks to go!
I'm 35 weeks and have been feeling pretty good overall except for the fact that my sciatica decided to start acting up today
I've also been crazy hungry and eating everything in sight lately....enjoying the last few weeks of guilt free eating I guess lol.
Nursery is ALMOST done. We ordered the blinds yesterday and the furniture is being delivered the first week of March.
Can't believe I get to meet my little munchkin in just 32 days!!!

Re: March Mommies-Check in!
Do you want the truth or the candy-coated version
I am feeling pretty good. I wish people at work would stop asking me every 5 seconds how I am feeling! I have some nausea at night but it doesn't last long. My appetite is all over the place - I am starving during the day and I want nothing to do with food at night.
We have our furniture and bedding, DH just needs to put the crib together and we need to buy a mattress. We also need a new PNP... and I have a LOT of laundry to do, including washing the fabric for the swing and the boppy pillow.
I am due 2 weeks from tomorrow and I would prefer she come on time because I still have too much work at the office to do! In fact, what the heck am I doing on here???

I know that feeling, I had it this morning, but I feel the more I sit the more I hurt. So Im trying to get up and move and do...taking a few more breaks today than yesterday though. Yesterday I was on my hands and knees scrubbing the bathroom floor...
I wasn't gonna schedule a c section, but did kinda last minute (personal decision) and my original due date is March 6th, so that was the only day they had available at the hospital I want. But still 2 weeks, wow...I remember when my countdown said 99 days and I got excited!

Re: March Mommies-Check in!
Meh. Still feeling really good, went in for a C-section on Wednesday which did not go ahead, so I am back to being a March Mom, which is fine!!! Just feeling really let down as I thought my baby was coming last week, but happy to wait and see when this child decides to show her pretty head.
So another 10 days or so...I have an appointment on the 25th Feb and they will do a membrane sweep on the day, maybe they will induce on my due date...who knows now!!!

Re: March Mommies-Check in!
12 days to my EDD and I wish he was coming right this minute. I am so tired of waiting and generally just over being pregnant, lol.
Tomorrow I have my 3rd internal and I am hoping there is some progress (none at my last 2) but I really don't expect any b/c I haven't felt the pains some people describe as dilating and no mucus plug as of yet either.
I d believe I had 2 contractions last Saturday morning though- but obviously nothing came of them. All morning I felt crampy like I was getting my period and then I had a pain radiating all around my hips/ down my legs. Anyway, it happened twice- 15 mins apart. Me and DH stared at each other in wonder but then it just went away. Last night I also felt a little crampy but no pain.
I just feel like I'm gonna go over and end up being induced at like 42w- jeeze I hopw my OB doesn't make me wait that long, lol. I guess that's a good question for tomorrow.
As far as nursery etc we ar done done done. The only thing left is to install the carseat, which DH is working on tonight I believe and then I will take it to get checked I guess at the fire station.

Re: March Mommies-Check in!
I have my c-section scheduled for March 5th if DD#2 does not make an early appearance before then.
I'm feeling ok. Not really sleeping well and I haven't really been able to eat dinner for the past two weeks because I feel so full at night I can't fathom eating anything else.
I have been really thirsty and only wanting really cold water.
I washed all of Kaydyn's NB and 0-3 month clothes. I set up the bassinet and washed the sheets. We washed the covers of the infant seats (just have to put them back together). I just have to install the car seats and wash the bouncer and baby glider fabric. I already bought 2 cases of diapers and a thing of formula and a new aquarium thing for the crib and a new floor/playmat.
Just waiting patiently for my last day of work on March 3rd and my c-section on the 5th.
The good part is my doc does not do internals if I have a c-section scheduled. YAY!!!!

I'm annoyed because I was on that bloody table, my husband was in his scrubs and they didn't go ahead with it, I was waiting all day, since 8 am, AND I was at the hospital for an appointment on Monday, they could have and should have done a scan to see if the baby had changed position BEFORE making us wait all day, working out the logistics of childcare (my inlaws drove 4 hours to stay with Noah while I was going to be in hospital) and I had to finish work a week early, which impacted on the date my statuatory maternity pay started, the two weeks I COULD have taken holiday and gotten full payment etc...
I am happy that I don't have to have major abdominal surgery, don't get me wrong. I know a natural birth will be so much better for me, but the whole thing was so badly organised and handled, thats why I am so frustrated. I know that everyone would be if they were in my shoes!!! Right now I have decided to be really positive, and not to rush wanting the baby to come too quickly, I am going to enjoy sleeping through the night, and some quiet time when Noah is out with the childminder during the week...

Re: March Mommies-Check in!
Contractions, Contractions, Contractions...that's all I've been dealign with since 32wks
At 32wks they were every 2-4mins but very mild. They gave me 2 terbutaline shots which helped slow down the contractions for about 5-7days. Then they returned with a vengance. They are much more spaced out but they are intense. I'm going to start timing them today just so I have an idea of what's going on. If I had to guess they are about 10-15mins apart and anywhere from 30s-1.5mins. I've been 1cm since 32wks but they think that may be due to having DS.
Other then that I feel ok. I feel like I got kicked one too many times in my vagina , walking like a duck, can't roll over at night without moaning...all the good stuff
I really can't complain though. This pregnancy has been ok. I'm just comparing it to my first pregnancy which was a breeze...this one isn't a breeze at all but after all is said and done it hasn't been too bad.
I have my next doctors appointment Friday...I can't wait!!! I'm dying to know if all these contractions are causing me to dilate (I can only pray that they're doing something). I also have my Strep B scheduled for Friday too.
I'm not sure if anyone else has experienced this but I think it's a little weird. I was losing a good amount of mucous for awhile now all of a sudden it stopped completely. It's been about 4days with no mucous...I think that's really strange that it just stopped. It wasn't discharge but definitely resembled the mucous plug. Hmm...just thought it was weird.
Good luck ladies!!! Especially those who are going within the next 2wks

Re: March Mommies-Check in!
Does calling in a cleaning service count as nesting?
I can't believe there is only 2 weeks left. Sometimes I feel like the baby is knocking on the door, sometimes I feel like he's quite content where he is. Last week was the worst for crotch pain, I almost got into pushing position to get some relief from the pressure.
My contractions are more uncomfortable than painful. I feel like I'm having them all the time, but nothing rhythmic or intense enough. But the baby loves to kick during them, which drives me crazy.
Growth sono weighed the baby at 6lbs 5 oz at 36 weeks. I'm really hoping on a very average weight baby. Mentally preparing for a drug free vaginal birth. Doctor keeps warning me it wont be easy if the baby is too big.
I'm leaking mucus like crazy, I'm worried I wont be able to tell it apart from water breaking
DH and I are so nervous!!

I'm also having a lot of weird discharge but confirmed today it is not my water. It has been sort of thin though- so it freaked me out a few times. Then again, DH has been letting the army in to help me "ripen" so there r prob leftovers, ew.
Also, calling in a cleaning service counts as nesting if u ask me. It's just the desire to get things clean, lol, not the will to do it urself!
Every time I try and nest on my own I wash like 2 dishes then get tired and sit down, lol.

Oh, I would be furious! It would not be difficult just to scan you to check her position. I wish there was something more you could do!

I'll still be checking on this board since I have many friends on here. So good luck to all the March mommies! I'm only a mom for 48hrs and the instant love you have for such a little person is unreal

Re: March Mommies-Check in!
My due date is March 23 and my birthday is tomorrow. If baby wanted to give me the best birthday present ever, he or she would come sooner rather than later! I just want to meet my little bundle already!!
But we've got a month to go still and are in good shape. The nursery is pretty much all done, just waiting on the glider to be shipped to BBB!
I am feeling pretty ok and have enjoyed the end of my pregnancy much more than the beginning when I was sick ALL THE TIME! Now I am just battling swollen feet and ankles, working up til my due date, indigestion and heartburn and reflux and all that fun stuff. Oh, and my boobs leaked a little bit today...I hope that stuff doesn't stain my favorite bra!!
Anyway, good luck to all the March mommies as we head into our month! And high fives all around!!

Re: March Mommies-Check in!
I am 38 and a half weeks and dying to meet this little man. Had two internals so far... not dilated and 50% effaced at both, so no progress from 37 to 38 weeks. I haven't really had any other signs of labor... just getting really uncomfortable. I spoke to my doctor and they will only let me go 7-10 days past my due date, so I know I will meet him no later than March 14th. I just hope he wants to meet us sooner than then (due on March 4th!)

Re: March Mommies-Check in!
I'm 37 weeks today and can't believe that the little man will be here soon! It is so surreal to me. I feel like I have been pregnant forever. I feel pretty good though. Sleeping is a task and I didn't know it was possible to pee this many times a night! We had a growth sono last week and he was estimated to be 6lbs 7 ozs and is head down and position with a full head of hair. My first internal is Monday so we will see what happens. I may be the minority here but I would rather him stay in longer than come sooner. I am very nervous about the whole birthing experience and I am not quite ready to "face the music" but that is my own insecurities. I can't wait to meet him and be his mommy though and I know it is going to all be worth it!!! Hope everyone else is feeling well!!!

Re: March Mommies-Check in!
Could I be a February Mommy
Last night was yet another dreaded night in L&D. I've been having severe back pain the last 3 days. Then last night I was getting bad lower abdominal cramps. I called the on call doctor just to run it by her what she thought. I wasn't overly concerned but considering that I was contracting 2-4mins at 32wks I thought I should call anyway (I'm 35wks6d today). So sure enough they told me to come in an get monitored.
The contractions were 3-4mins apart, then 8-12mins and back to 2-3mins. They were all over the place for the 4hrs I was hooked up. Long story short they checked my cervix and I am almost 2cm 70% effaced so they wanted to make sure there wasn't much change after 2 hrs. They rechecked me and there wasn't any noticable change so they discharged me because I live only 10mins away. She said I could be back tomorrow or in 2 wks that there is really no way of telling.
I have an appointment with my doctor friday so I should know more when she checks me again. I am contracting like crazy today but they're all over the place...nothing consistant. So I'll hopefully have some more information on Friday.
Good luck ladies!!!
