She's engaged....it's good news!
She's on the Howard Stern show all of the time, so it makes sense that he propose to her there....
Who knows what's going on in their relationship....why look for the negative immediately? Why not just think happy thoughts?
I have no issue with the setting--I'm not the one he had to impress, but it just strikes me as a power imbalance. Yes, I know, I don't know them at all, but he has a smug smile, and is older than her, and it seems, like he made her wait because he could & that makes me worry for her.
I could be totally wrong, maybe she wanted to wait/didn't care, but that's not what it looks like to a stranger who never even heard of him before this post!

And he popped the question on the Howard Stern show??? Nothing says romance like Howard Stern. After waiting 18 years I would've expected a pretty kick a$$ proposal filled with romance, not a radio studio!
Well the show has a special place to them. He said I remember us in the basement in our sweats listening to howard together and I promised you, you would be on that show and you would be a big star.
They are HUGE stern fans and the show means alot to them.
It was incredibly romantic and I think its an amazing proposal.
Also if you know anything about Howard you would know he is romantic at heart. Hes been with Beth forever and you NEVER hear about him out with other girls. Partying or stepping out on her. He is home with her always.
And yes she has said she was never in a rush to get married. Shes not 1 of those girls. Her career is what came first to her.
ETA: Ive never seen so many people destroy a totally happy moment. jeez happy im not sharing any seemingly happy news with you guys  Youd make me feel like sh*t hahaha

Oh, ok!! I didn't know their backstory. Maybe a proposal on the Howard Stern show makes a little more sense now, given that information! Still not my idea of a proposal but to each his own!!

Exactly...people are together however long they want to be together before taking the next steps.
Too many people want the ring but not the marriage...seen plenty of it round these parts as well.
