I haven't seen a thread on this. Anyone else watching? Wondering what everyone's thoughts are on the couples.

Me! My guess is that only Nick and Sonia stay together. I love Tom and Lilly butthey are starting off too hot and its gonna die out in real life. All of Nick and Sonia's scenes though are so boring I have to fight falling asleep.

What can I say about Heather and Derek. Every time I see the "resting ***** face" thread on the other board, I think of her. He is no prize but I feel like he would have tried to make it work if she gave even an inch.

I'm watching! I LOVED Sonia at first, but she's starting to get on my nerves a little... I'm not sure what it is- I can't pinpoint it. I still really like her and I sincerely hope her and Nick stay together. Tim and lily are cute together, but I think it's stupid of him to hold back such an important thing from her. I also think it was silly for the "experts" to match someone who sells dream homes with someone who is unwilling to move from a bus... But I hope they work it out. Heather is a joke- why do the show? She reminds me of Ashley from last season and Sean from the season before- they just seem so uninterested in their partners. I will say that Derek isn't winning any points by trash talking Heather.

I've been watching too. Off the bat I know that Heather and Derek are not staying together, being that they couldn't even stand each other on the HM. I think Nick comes off as very standoffish for some reason and it doesn't appear that he is attracted to Sonia. I think Lillian and Tom have the best chance but, once she finds out he lives on a bus I don't think that will fly.

Nick and Sonia are very cute and I hope they work out. They are a bit boring, but they're taking it slow and I think their hearts are in the right place.

Lily and Tom.... They're SO overly into each other that it's actually kind of annoying. And personally, I think they started too hot and heavy too quickly and it will fizzle.

Heather and Derek aren't going to work out. I dont know if anyone else caught on to this, but Derek is not a cigarette smoker. He smokes weed. That's why he was comparing it to her being an alcoholic and that it's "basically the same thing" or "does the same thing" as alcohol. And that's why she was so upset that he was doing it every single day on the honeymoon (as soon as he wakes up) and he was saying he's "on vacation" and cant do it during the week normally. I think she was really turned off by this and concerned that maybe he's just a big pot head. While I still think she's being judgmental, I do agree that it's not exactly putting your best foot forward on your honeymoon when you've only known your wife for like 3 days. I'm an occasional indulger myself and I have NO problem with social smokers, but I too would be a little taken back if my brand new DH who I didn't know at all was smoking EVERY morning of my honeymoon. I would assume he smokes all the time and that might bother me a little. So, personally, I'm giving Heather a break because I get why she was being judgmental with Derek at first, I also think the last few days she did TRY to be better with him, but he also totally flipped out about very stupid things, like when the surfing instructor grabbed her hand . I think he's just very insecure.

Yes, I heard 30,000 too. Which is CRAZY to me...first it's just a much larger applicant pool than I anticipated, but also that out of 30,000 people they put Derek and Heather together. There MUST have been better matches out there. I find Heather and Derek to be complete opposites.

So, I dont know how accurate it is, but I just read that Derrek and Heather were a last minute choice. The other two couples had been chosen and married earlier in the month, and the third couple backed out last minute, so Heather and Derrek were a back up and were notified only days before their actual wedding. I also read that they were purposely put together knowingly as a mis-match for ratings purposes. Who knows if either of those two things are true, but I could see the first one being somewhat realistic since the other two weddings were both outdoors at the hotel and theirs was indoors in what looked like a make-shift ceremony room.

I agree - I think they're going to stick it out and try to make it work. But just like David and Ashley last season, I think in the end they're going to divorce and I have a feeling this entire season is going to be them fighting and never really making any real progress as a couple.

Anyone watch last night??

I thought Tom was being pretty ridiculous when Lily mentioned kids. She was very clear that she didnt mean now or anytime soon...just that as a person, she wants children at some point in her life. And he couldn't give her a real answer. Which, to me, means he doesn't really want them.

Nick and Sonia - I'm so over this couple right now. He's emotion-less. He shows no physical contact or affection whatsoever. He isn't doing anything to make his feelings grow. He pays more attention to his dogs than to her. And he doesn't LISTEN to her. She's said over and over again that she has a fear of dogs and he keeps saying that she just doesnt like them and is just expecting her to adjust to them. I'm a dog lover and even I get how hard that can be for someone who has a fear of them. He's so monotone and blah. I mean, she doesnt do the best job at communicating her needs to him, but I think she's TRYING and she's getting nothing back so she doesnt feel comfortable saying what she needs. I honestly feel bad for her. I liked them in the beginning but I don't see them working long-term as anything more than friends.

Yeah at this point I really don't see any of them staying together. Tom made it seem like he didn't want kids which I would think is a dealbreaker for Lillian. Nick I feel has always been so standoff-ish.. I feel like he just wants to be friends with Sonia. And forget about Derek and Heather.

The thing I don't get about Tom and Sonia is obviously they get a ton of info about these people prior to creating a match. You'd thing "Do you want children?" would be like the top 5 question.

For Nick and Sonia... I think Nick has Aspergers. At first he seemed a little odd and shy but I definitely think there's more to it than that.

Heather and Derek are a train wreck and I'm annoyed at the show for dragging out that decision another week. I think they're going to stick it out the 4 more weeks but why leave us on the cliffhanger for ANOTHER week?!

The show is becoming a bit slow paced for me.... I know I felt that way in previous seasons but not this early on. It's sad because I think the concept is interesting and the show has potential, it's just excecuted poorly. I also think the match criteria is completely flawed.

I am watching also. Can I just say that Tom and Lilly kinda make me wanna barf. I feel like they are both trying wayyyy to hard and one day they are gonna snap. Tom just seems way too nice and accomodating. She is gonna get more and more controlling as time goes on.

Sonia and Nick...I don't think Nick is emotionless I just thing SOnia is a stage five clinger! She reminds me of a skittery bird who need lots of hugs. She keeps talking about how she is terrified of his dogs...well say that to him...word for word. When she finally did he changed it. She also takes things WAAAYYY to personal. He is honest and upfront but not rude or mean at all. He is just taking is slow and I feel like she is ready to jump in the sack because to her that assures her he is atrracted to her.

Heather and Derreck...OY VEY...The Ice Queen and Eminem!! She is a stuck up snot and he is a thugged out pot head! THis match was a disaster from go and I wish they would just be done with it. His fake smile turns my stomach in front of the experts and her sneer makes me want to punch the TV.
