LeAnn Rimes is having a shocking affair with her TV movie costar, Eddie Cibrian, Us Weekly reveals in its newest issue, on stands Wednesday.

Rimes, 26 -- currently wed to former backup dancer Dean Sheremet -- got cozy with Cirbian, 35, on the set of her March 21 Lifetime flick, Northern Lights. Cibrian was recently seen in Ugly Betty, Invasion and Samantha Who?

"From the moment we rehearsed, LeAnn and Eddie honestly developed a really strong bond and a warm relationship," director Mike Robe told Us prior to news of the affair.

Their rapport carried off the set as well.

The new Us Weekly features pictures taken from a video security camera that show the two holding hands and kissing on a romantic dinner date at Mosun and Club M in Laguna Beach, California on March 7. Additionally, Us Weekly reports that the new couple met for a three-hour tryst at the Malibu Beach Inn on March 14.

Rimes married Sheremet seven years ago -- when she was just 19 and he was 21. Cirbian tied the knot with model Brandi Glanville in 2001; they have two sons, ages 5 and 23 months.

A rep for Rimes tells Us: "We do not comment on our clients' personal lives."

Cirbian's manager didn't respond for a request for comment.

I worked with him back in the day before he got his break on Young and the Restless and lets just say that even back then he was a HUGE man *****!!!!! to say the least.

I'm kind of surprised and then I'm kind of not. Didn't Leann and her husband recently renew their vows with an extravagant affair? But then there were always rumors that her husband was gay, so who really knows. Eddie is really cute but affairs disgust me.

LeAnn Rimes Speaks: "This Is a Difficult Time"

As the new issue of Us Weekly reports on LeAnn Rimes' shocking affair with her TV movie costar Eddie Cibrian , the country singer, 26, has taken to her Web site to address fans.

"This is a difficult time for me and my loved ones, but I appreciate all your continued support," she writes Wednesday. "I would like to assure all of you that this is a place for you to hear things directly from me and as you all know, not everything in our lives is always black and white."

Before signing off, Rimes tells fans, "have faith."

Rimes didn't address the affair during her appearance on Wednesday's Live with Regis and Kelly.

First of all, I have never found LeAnn attractive AT ALL.

Secondly, Eddie is married which is terrible but he seems like a total player - but, heck, really good looking and what an upgrade from her husband who I think is gay.

All in all, what a mess.
