Mary-Kate Olsen on Heath Ledger: "His Death is a Tragic Loss"
Mary-Kate Olsen has spoken up about Heath Ledger's death.
"Heath was a friend. His death is a tragic loss," she said in a statement to Usmagazine.com. "My thoughts are with his family during this very difficult time."
When Ledger's masseuse found the actor's body, she called Olsen three times before dialing 911. She called Olsen a fourth time after paramedics arrived.
Police are not interested in questioning Olsen on the calls.
Both the New York Post and New York's Daily News claimed the two were dating.
Olsen is the latest lady to be linked to the late actor.

Wow ***** to be linked to Mary Kate Olsen in death. So random to me anyway, who knows, but she hardly looks like an interesting person. Too bad there isn't a comment from his gf of years and mother of his child instead of Scary Kate Trollson

I'm sorry, but I think we on LIF wrote more than she did and we didn't even know him.
I don't know..I think the media and the public need to lighten up just a bit on here.
She was the one being called...it's not like she can control who/what is calling her.
I cannot even begin to imagine someone (let alone a masseuse) calling me about a friend/boyfriend's (if they were dating) death...
Everyone reacts differently, and if I were caught off-guard with a call like that, God-knows what I'd begin to say or do...

I don't think what she said was so awful - it's a public statement. I am sure personally she is feeling much more.

Sounds like it was written by her publicist. God forbid she use this time to be a human being and write something herself. But I guess that's just too much to ask of a celebrity.

I agree. And with the way the media interprets everything, I don't blame her for not being more personal about it.
