masters...
where did you get yours? i cant believe how much they want per credit i will graduate in dec 2010 with my bachelors but i wanted to start looking into schools now. I am thinking of getting my masters in special education...my bachelors will be elementary ed. Do you think this is a good way to go or would i have a better chance of getting a job with a masters in something else? Im open to ALL suggestions!

Re: masters...
my 1st is from Hofstra - in 1997 it was $440/credit...I'm sure now it's astronomical! and I'm not sure really worth it (except for the raise)
My second is from Queens college - it was great being able to pay for it upfront (I think it was about $180/credit in 2001) - TOTALLY worth it!

Re: masters...
i would go to CUNY... queens college, hunter and baruch have great programs and they're cheap. (more if you're not a city resident).
I got my Masters in special ed. at Fordham almost 10 years ago and it would have been about $30,000 then... i worked there though and got tuition remission, which is why i got my degree from there. they had a great program and i learned a lot. it was definitely more research based though than a lot of other schools.
