Mastitis anyone? Clindamycin ok?
started exclusively pumping for my preemie twins 2 weeks ago... I woke up Friday morning with a fever, chills, body aches, the works.
Breasts are super HOT and totally full-all the time. I dont really get relief, even after pumping.
Was in the ER over the weekend because my OBs office was closed. They prescribed clindamycin-is it safe while bfeeding? I really don't want to stop, and I'd hate to pump and dump...
My fever was up to 102.5 this morning, so Im pretty sure Ill need to take the meds.
anyone else know anything about what else I can do?
Also, is Clindamycin safe while bfeeding? I am reading a lot of conflicting information about it.

I sincerely hope docs wouldn't prescribe something unsafe for a new mom trying to pump for twins!
