maternity clothes
where is everyone buying clothes??
gap either doesnt have my size or in the length i need for pants and $60 for capris is absurd. Old navy has not much
the target near me had 2 racks and not much else and everything was size 14 & up.
i havent tried kohls, and the motherhood store in my mall is out of business.
im dying here...

Re: maternity clothes
Honestly , the best luck I have had is Gap online. It fits me the best, and has the best quality IMO, besides Pea in the Pod which is $$$$$ . I was fortunate that my birthday was in April , so everyone got me gift cards to the Gap. They run true to size, so whatever you were wearing before will fit. I'd rather have 2-3 good quality pants then 6 eh quality pants .
Old navy stuff really didn't look right , and target I found one shirt and yoga pants and that's about it.
I did get some stuff at motherhood as well , but the tops are a little too busy for my style. I did get a few basic tee's and tanks there, and it is fine . You can also order online from them.

Re: maternity clothes
i have done the best at old navy online, kohls and Motherhood
But let me just give you a little piece of advice... Motherhood owns the brand that kohls carries and its half the price. especially if you can catch kohls on a sale. bayshore store has a larger selection then massapequa.
also if your belly isnt toobig my suggestion is to just buy reg. clothes a size or 2 bigger.. thats what ive done and ive saved myself alot of $$$. the only real maternity clothes im wearing are my pants and shorts.

Re: maternity clothes
Mostly Kohls. Some tops from Old Navy online (jeans & pants that got uncomfortable by 20w). A handful of things from walmart.com Maternity Works once and was disppointed with everything I purchased (and couldn't return any of it!). Macys in the very beginning where I got a two dresses and a pair of work pants that actually fit in length.
I've had to have at least 6 pairs of pants hemmed.
ETA: Also tops at Sears.

Re: maternity clothes
i have had nothing but luck with JC Penney online maternity stuff. they have plus sized and 'normal sized' maternity items!
the sizes are great and prices are AWESOME! I have literally returned ONE piece that i bought from them (and i've gotten like 15 items from them).
Old Navy - i returned every ounce!

Re: maternity clothes
I find the maternity store prices crazy. And the clothes are nothing great.
kohl's for pants/capris. You hit a good sale, you'll pay $15 for each.
I'm short, gap online is the only place that I found pants that fit.
Tops - I'm buying regular shirts, larger sizes. Maternity tops look HORRIBLE on me! I think it's because Im short, they are too big on me

I found most of my stuff in JCP or Sears. And their prices were reasonable.

Re: maternity clothes
So far I have had alot of luck at NY & Co. I know it is not maternity but some of their pants have elastic waist, I have about 5 pairs from there and here are some shirts I bought last weekend. I had no luck either at gap or target Image Attachment(s):

Re: maternity clothes
I've had the best luck with Old Navy online and H&M in store - I mean, that's not saying much, but I actually did buy a top in H&M that I got compliments on!
JCP had some nice stuff online, but I wasn't quick enough and it was all sold out by the time I got around to finding something in my size!

Re: maternity clothes
I buy gap or pea in a pod usually. Or I buy cotton dresses from any place that isn't maternity as well. I just got a cute one for the summer at Forever 21.

Re: maternity clothes
The majority of my stuff has come from Destination Maternity, which means it's mostly the Motherhood brand. I have several A Pea in the Pod shirts from there too. Macy's also sells Motherhood and A Pea in the Pod, and I've shopped there too.
I've also bought from Gap and Old Navy maternity online.
I also picked up a few things at Target and Old Navy, but not much.
I've spent a lof ot $$ on maternity clothes so far, and have also had to get a lot of my pants hemmed to the correct length.

Re: maternity clothes
Love Desitination Maternity b/c they have Motherhood and Pea in a Pod there so if you're looking for something high end or something inexpensive you get the best of both worlds.
