Nobody wants to look at pictures of a pregnant women, they'd all rather look at a cute baby.
Just to throw out the other side of this - we won't be sending or maybe even showing our maternity pics to family and friends, but I look forward to having them to look back on. I see what you're saying, of course, just wanted to point out another side of it.

ITA. I got maternity pics with my first DS and I will be getting them with this PG.
I absolutely love them and look at them all the time. They are for noone but myself and my husband.
For me, it was about memorializing a truly special time in my life.
They are not for everyone. And not everyone is comfortable with them.
Just like I would never do boudoir pictures!

In the begining I said I wasn't going to do them, but now at 24 weeks I have changed my mind and am really excited to have thme done at 30 - 32 weeks.
