Maternity Shirts
I'm 15 weeks now and I'm starting to buy some shirts at the GAP since they seem to be selling out and don't want to wear fall shirts in July/August. Right now I fit in a medium comfortably, but should I buy a large since I'm thinking I'll start to get bigger in the next month or so?
TIA
ETA: Do the GAP shirts tend wash well? or do they shrink?

Re: Maternity Shirts
Maternity Sizes stay stagnant. If you are a medium normally, you'd be a medium in maternity - unless you were having multiples.

Re: Maternity Shirts
Most of my maternity clothes are from the gap...pants I am wearing my normal size and they wash really well. The shirts to me, were a little big and they also have been washing well. I'm 20 weeks, so maybe the sizes will change as time goes on, but for now, I'm ok.

I'm 30 weeks and still in Med. shirts - I just got a new shirt and went with a large so I can wear during my last two months.
I think each shirt/pants are made different and you just need to try them on and see how big or small they are.
I had a med. shirt from target and I could not wear it past my first trimester.

Are you smaller size? I'm a size 10.

Re: Maternity Shirts
I'm 24 weeks. I started as a small then went to a medium. There are a couple of styles of shirts that I now need a large in. My chest seems to be growing out of control!!

Re: Maternity Shirts
Maternity sizes did not stay stagnant for me! I started as a small & now I am definitely in mediums (31 weeks). And many of my cotton shirts did shrink in the dryer. If you will stop wearing the summer shirts before you hit about 26-28 weeks, the original size should fit- if you'd like them to last the third trimester, I'd go up a size.

I would buy a large. My last pregnancy I was in XS sizes from Old NAvy, and I ended up in medium shirts and small pants. IMO its better to buy something that you can grow into than something that could get too tight in a few weeks. Unless the large is falling off of you, I would buy it.

Re: Maternity Shirts
I got a size larger in the gap button downs- just in case- the normal size JUST fit over my boobs.
