Maternity Shoot Make-Up Question Update with another question

So today is my shoot. We are doing it at Sunken Meadow Park. Since it will be outdoors how bold should I go with the m/u ? I don't want it to look like "night m/u" but at the same time I want the colors to show.

I did my own m/u for our engagement shoot which was indoors but I dont think I went bold enough.

Here is a pic of the dress I'm wearing. It comes up to my knees. Lets hope the wind slows down a bit.

I'm an idiot - what's m/u?? I LOVE the dress!!! Too cute!!!


ETA: I suck at life... I'm guessing makeup?? I wouldn't go too bold since it's a day outdoorsy thing but people tend to be washed out in photos so maybe a little bolder than what you might wear to, say, work?? Not sure if that's any help.

I love the dress. Looking at your engagement pictures you look great! If you felt that you needed more pop I would go with either a darker or brighter eye shadow.

You could also go to the makeup counters at the mall and see if they will do you makeup for you there.

the only suggestion I can make is to wear some accessories that will make you pop since the green dress might blend in with green trees/grass/leaves etc.

makeup never shows up as dark in photos, go a little heavier than you normally would for daytime!

I would do neutral colors with this dress, beiges, browns and golds. I would stay away from any too bright colors like purple etc. I wooulddo peachy/pink colors for lips (not too light on the lips, u wanna make sure it shows up in the pc) and cheek also. You are going to look beautiful

The sun can tend to wash you out so I would just go a little heavier with the blush and be sure so use liner and a decent amount of mascara. I thought I looked like a tranny in person before my engagement pics but in the photos it was fine. Maybe have DH snap a few outside pics with your own camera and take a look before you go just to see if you like how it looks.

Soft and natural. Just up your blush a bit and make sure your lips are moisturized

i did that for my engagement shoot and I put wayyyyyyyy more than i would for the daytime and i still feel like my eyes didnt POP.

maybe i didnt put on enough masscara or the liquid liner wasnt thick enough

Hi! I just had my maternity photo done at Central Park. I went a little heavy with my makeup. Since it's a maternity photoshot my photographer didn't really do any close up head shots. From a distance you don't really see the makeup. Plus she had me standing in the shade most of the time. Sun makes me squint.
I wore a bright pink shirt so I definately popped. I tipped her $30 but my photoshot was $250 and it's her company so I feel like she's working off of tips.
