mats to protect car seats from digging into leather...

They aren't safe b/c the carseat was not crash tested with it in it and it could cause the seat to not be installed properly

To the best of my knowledge, nothing aftermarket is approved for a carseat.

When I had DS's car seat installed, this is what I was told as well.

I was also told they aren't safe ,so I stopped using them ! Get a mommoblie with cloth seats !

When we had our carseat professional installed, they refused to put the mat down. And of course, BRU refused to take it back b/c I didn't have a receipt.

I have deep indents in my seats from the car seats that probably will never go away. I'd still prefer leather over cloth though because it's so easy to clean. All it takes is one vomiting incident and you'll be forever thankful you have leather.  I'm more concerned about my kids' safety than what my seats look like so I'd never use the mats. JMO.
