May 2011 Mommies Thread!

Hello all! I don't think there is already a thread for May mommies, so lets start one!

Let's introduce ourselves!
When are you due?
How are you feeling?
When are you seeing the doctor?


- I am in hiding from my regular LIF name and will come out once we hear a heartbeat.

- I am due May 26th.

- I have been to the doctor for 2 beta's and an ultrasound. I am 5 weeks, 3 days today and saw the sac and yolk! So excited because we have had a lot of trouble in the past. I go back in two weeks to "see baby and heartbeat" the doctor said!

Hi..I just went to the doctor yesterday for my first visit. I am 7w3d and due May 10th. I had a sonogram and was able to see the sac and see a little heartbeat. I have been feeling good but feel like i am coming down with a bad cold now.

hi everyone! my 1st dr's appt isn't until oct 5. i'm 5w2d and i think i'm due may 25, but i guess i'll know for sure once i see the dr. i've been feeling absolutely fine, really no symptoms at all and i'm getting scared that this is the calm before the storm

Feeling silly asking this... how do you guys know your DD and you haven't even gone to the dr yet?? I'm pretty sure I'm going to be due in May, but I have no idea when as far as days are concerned. MY OB appt isn't until 10-6, so I guess I'll know more then

i just used an online calculator and based it on the date of my last period. it might be off a few days depending on when exactly i ovulated, but i have a pretty good idea when that happened.

Hi Girls...I'm Tiffany...I'm 8w4d and due May 2nd.....been exhausted since bfp and the nausea started really bad yesterday (i thought maybe i'd lucked out but i'm definitely not complaining) and not to mention that need to pee every hour or so lol....i had my first doctors appointment Sept 7th, first ultrasound was a week ago and got the see and hear the heart beat which was amazing...next appointment is in a week :) Congrats to you all

Hi fellow Mommies-I am in hiding as well although we heard the heartbeat last night

When are you due? May 4 (I looked on a website prior and last night, the dr. said the same)


How are you feeling? Crampy and tired, coming down with something as well so..just peachy

When are you seeing the doctor?I went through some IF issues so I had a beta and a 6 week appt and then some spotting so a sono then and last night my 7w 5d appt...

Hi Ladies!

I'm Mandy and I am due May 6th. This is my second child. I just had my first sono on Tuesday and everything looks great with a heart rate of 170 and measuring on target. I have been nauseous since 6 weeks and it's really on and off. The evenings are the worst. I have also been so fatigued most of the day. The next time I see the doctor is 10/18 and that is also when I have my 12 week sono.

I'm Jill and I believe I will be due around May 16th. I have my first doctor visit on October 1st and I am very excited to see my little bean for the first time. So far I feel great and I really hope it stays that way. This will be my second child. I have a daughter who will be 2 in October and I am hoping for a slightly less stressful pregnancy this time around.

I look forward to getting to know my fellow May mommies and ask that if any of you know me IRL to please not mention anything on Facebook as it is still early and we are waiting to announce it for another couple of weeks.

According to the online calculators i am due may 24th!!!!

I am 5w3d and go to the dr on tuesday where i will be exactly 6 weeks. it is only for a blood test and exam but i am hoping i get a sonogram.

i am feeling good just crampy and tired and hungry and need to pee so much lol

I am due around May 16th with twins!!

I have had like 5 betas and 2 sonos already and I am just about 7 weeks. I am being monitored VERY closely.
Unfortunately I lost a set of identical twins back in May of this year at over 16wks, so we are very excited but cautiously optimistic. I am ginormous already though! I feel like the minute I POAS my body went back to being as big as it was when I lost the twins, like it was primed or something!! UGH! I look like I am at least 5 months pregnant right now. We really don't want to tell anyone for at least a few more weeks after what we went through and honestly it is SOOOO hard to hide!
Other than being a beached whale already I really have no major complaints yet (give it time lol) some killer heartburn, sore boobs, and really tired, but HUGE is my big complaint!
Congrats ladies. Wishing us ALL a happy and healthy 9 months!!!

When are you due? According to all of the calculators, May 21st.

How are you feeling? Honestly, I feel good. I have super sore boobs and cramping in the abdomen and I have to pee a lot. I get tired when I sit down and relax. Then I fall asleep.

When are you seeing the doctor? As if the + on the test didn't cause enough anxiety, waiting for our appointment isn't helping. We go 10/12. I'll be almost 9 weeks at that point. {{{fingers crossed}}}

Another poster-in-hiding here. When we get the first sono done, I'll probably come back and re-introduce.

By my estimates -- my EDD is May 21, 2011. I'm sure that will change when I see the doctor.

This Friday, Oct 1st, is my first sonogram. We are checking to make sure that the sac is where it's supposed to be. (I am high risk for ectopic pregnancy.)

Got a BFP and have taken 6 tests since then.

We were not TTC -- so this was a pleasant surprise.

I'm Marissa! I am due on May 15. I am currently 7w3d. Just saw my LO for the first time on sono yesterday!

I've had a lot of bloat so far and sore boobs ... and I've gotten the hiccups at least once a day since finding out! Otherwise, feeling good!

We also were not TTC ... but this is just about the best surprise ever!

ETA this will be our first DC!

Hi girls; I began my 7th week today! My EDD is May 24th 2011, I guess this will truely be determined at my drs. apt. My first doctors apt is next thursday the 7th (seems like an eternity away). I cannot wait to go just so I can have some piece of mind (b/c Ive been such a worry wart) I have been feeling pretty good, getting waves of nausea, however, this morning it was more intense. Hope everyone is doing well, and YAY for May babies!

Hi ladies, I am Jeannine. This is my second pregnancy and I'm due May 31st, however I'll be having a repeat C-section (I had an emergency C the first time and a VBAC scares the crap put of me!) so I will go around the 25th.

We had our first sono yesterday, everything looks great. I am feeling pretty nauseous and get really tired from about 4pm-7pm but other than that I am doing great!

My name is Stacey
This is our first pregnancy
I am due May 22.

I am 11w 4d and I feel amazing. I have had zero signs of anything (no morning sickness, not tired, no breast tenderness, etc), but I did go to the doctor 3 times, 2 times for a sono and they said the baby is perfect, measuring exactly to the day he or she is supposed to be. I am going next Thursday, Nov 11 for the ultrasonography (nuchal translucency) & ultrascreen, then on Nov 23 for the FULL exam with my OB and he said we will hear the heartbeat then. Up until now we just saw the heartbeat on the screen (still so amazing and I get chills everytime I think about it; it was truly amazing), so I can't wait to hear it. I actually just told my 2 bosses yesterday, going to announce to everyone else on Nov 24 & 25. We will tell both families on Thanksgiving, and our friends we will tell probably the Wed night before Thanksgiving (yes we still go out that night for Happy Hour, we love it because everyone still goes but we are all always home by 7pm when the crowds change younger). We will also tell the people that we work with that Wed too at work. It is so hard with Facebook now to make sure we tell everyone around the same time because I would hate for someone to write something on my page and that was how some people found out then. So we are planning on telling everyone in 1 or 2 days of each other.

I started looking online at baby shower locations, lol, I think I am extremely ahead of myself, I am just very excited. But we need to register before anything, hopefully before Christmas so people can get us things for Christmas off of that list. I really don't need anything for us, maybe just a maternity winter coat, but otherwise I would rather all things for the baby. We are not finding out the sex of the baby, we want to be surrpised, although for some reason I think the baby is a

Ok just an update, we definitely could not wait to tell everyone. We went to our appt on Nov 11 and to our surprise we heard the heartbeat we were both beyond excited because we had no idead we were going to hear LO's heartbeat, it was so incredible. So after we heard that we were too excited to wait. We told everyone that weekend, which I was 13 weeks then, so we were comfortable telling.

How is everyone feeling?! Anyone that was sick in the beginning I hope is feeling much better now!! I am feeling great, just having a cramps this week. Nothing terrible, just an annoying constant cramp. I have a doctors appt on Tuesday, so as long as everything stays the same and I don't see bleeding, I will wait to talk to the doctor on Tuesday.

I'm feeling good now, but I really didn't have much nausea or anything so I consider myself very lucky!

We are telling my family on Sun and DH's family on Thanksgiving. I will be so glad when everyone finally knows. It's been so hard keeping it a secret!

HI Ladies!

I am feeling soooo much better now! The nausea and exhaustion are pretty much gone! yay!

We have our 1st trimester screening on Monday - I can't wait to see the little guy again and then I have a regular appt on Tuesday.

I haven't gained any weight yet, but some of my pants are getting snug around the waist - I guess it is true that you show earlier the second time - I didn't have this happen until about 18 weeks in my 1st pregnancy!
