may 5 too early for outdoor party?

i was debating having dd's 4th bday party at nunley's carousel. her bday is may 6. i'm thinking of doing it sat may 5 otherwise we'd have to wait until the end of may...like may 26. do you think may 5 is too early for an outdoor party? is the 26th too late after her bday for a party? is it pointless by then? The weekend after her party is mother's day weekend and then we have a wedding in texas the next weekend.

I'm doing my DD 1st bday party that Saturday. I'm hoping to use my parent's backyard, but I'm concerned about the weather too. I can use the inside if need be, but it would be so much better outside. Honestly, after talking to 1000 people about it, everyone seems to think it will be fine outside. So here's to hoping for both of us!

we went to one there in late April and it was fine. The place was mostly enclosed. I was more uncomfortable by how loud the carousel was blasting than the temperature.

DD was born last April...a week before Easter and on Easter it was very WARM! I only remember because we had a big Easter and I was already uncomfortable and dressed up for Church and DD was sweating because MIL insisted on her wearing a sweater and having a blanket on her.

Eh, so, anyway, I am HOPING this Spring is the same because I'd love to have a backyard party for DD on April 21st Chat Icon

I would go for it. You take a chance no matter what the day for an outdoor party (rain, etc.)....

My DD is May 6th and my son is May 9th. Some years its been awesome weather that weekend, other years its been real chilly, need a sweater type of weather!

this year on May 5th, my DS makes his First Communion! I know a lot of classmates doing outdoor parties.
